There are 6 seats reserved for NRI/ OCI in JIPMER (5 seats in Puducherry campus & 1 seat in Karaikal campus). You should write the entrance exam along with every other candidate; there will be a separate ranking list for NRI candidates. Admission will be based on the ranking list.

You need to obtain an Eligibility Certificate from Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi if you have passed the qualifying examination other than those mentioned in the JIPMER list.

You should opt for admission under Self Financing Scheme at the time of application itself.

During counselling, you should produce recent NRI Status certificate of the parent or candidate issued by the Indian Embassy of the respective Country with the Embassy seal (or Certificate of Registration for OCI).

Academic fee is US $75,000/- + Transaction charges as applicable. This will be one-time payment, for entire duration of the course, at the time of admission.

Dear aspirant

There is no any rule and regulation are like that. Failing in MBBS is not concerned with your pg seats. Once you passed total subject of mbbs and completed training and had gotten degree then you are eligible for any colleges. You will have to clear neet pg exam or otherwise in upcoming days you will have to clear NEXT EXAM.  So don't worry about failing in mbbs almost many students fails there and grab good colleges. Your pg seats will never concerned with your failing of subject if you once passed all subjects and got your MBBS degree.

Hope it helps

Good Luck!!

Hey,

Your OBX NCL certificate is a proof and a sole key to get you a reservation in any college. If you have a valid OBC-NCL CERTIFICATE I don't think it should be a problem for you at the time of admission.

As the certificate is issued to you by the state government itself, so it should not cause you any trouble.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.

Hello aspirant!!
It's true that National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will be the only entrance exam considered for admission to all medical courses including AIIMS and JIPMER institutions.
Previously till 2019 ,admission to AIIMS and JIPMER were conducted through separate exams as they were governed under different Acts .
NEET governing body, MCI (Medical Council of India)is replaced by National Medical Commission (NMC).Under this ,NMC Act 2019 all the admissions to MBBS , AYUSH,BDS including AIIMS and JIPMER institutions will be conducted through NEET 2020.

For additional information you can visit:

This is the first time JIPMER will be giving admission on the basis of Neet Score. So we don't have any idea about the previous year's cutoffs, we don't have any reference. But there are total 249 seats (JIPMER Puducherry (187) and Karaikal campus (62) and 55 seats foe ur category in Piducherry and 19 in Karaikal) offered for MBBS in JIPMER. So it can be expected that an all India rank within 300 to 350 can fetch you a seat in JIPMER Puducherry. Now as you told, you have scored 681 in Neet 2020 out of 720 and your rank is 586. With this rank you have average chances of getting JIPMER Puducherry campus but you can try for Karaikal. Or else, AIIMS or Government Medical colleges of Delhi are achievable with this rank. Also you can use our Neet college Predictor tool to know about your admission possibilities through Neet based on your score and http://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Hi Srinivas, there are 6 seats reserved for NRI in JIPMER. You should write the entrance exam along with other candidates and there is a seperate rank list for the NRI candidates. The admission is based on the ranking list. You need to obtain eligibility certificate from association of Indian universities. The minimum percentage for NRI is 50. The fee is coming around 55,48,657.

Hey,

First of all congratulations on securing duch good rank. The possibility of you getting JIPMER, Pondicherry can be predicted as JIPMER is included in the counseling process from this year and no further cut off regards are available for estimation.

I will suggest you to wait till the counselling starts. Although you will definitely get a too notch college.

Hope for the best.

Thank you.

Hello soundar , From some research on internet I found that JIPMER is better than CMC because JIPMER is mostly equivalent to one of the AIIMS college and we all know that AIIMS are top ranked colleges of India so JIPMER is best.
