Hello saradha,

641 on NEET is a great score. You have decent chances for admission to the colleges  you are expecting. According to the last year cutoff, for grant medical college cut off was around 544 and for kgmu medical college cut off was around 540. For general category. If you belong to the reserved categories you have still more better chances.

Regards

Hey Shiv !
Since you did mention being a candidate of UP, I suppose you have the domicile of the mentioned state.
Well, King George's Medical University, Lucknow is one of the finest and elite institutes of our nation.
Be it the academics, co-curricular activities ot the campus, KGMU excels in all and hence it becomes quite evident for students all over the nation to procure a seat in it.

Your marks of 580 is actually quite appreciable as far as NEET 2019 is concerned but before predicting you chances, let's have a look at it's cutoff.
In 2018, the cutoff for KGMU for the State Quota students was 572 being a UR category Examinee.
At this point, it might seen quite easy for you to procure a seat, but we must also keep the fact in mind that this year's paper was slightly on the easier aspect as compared to that of 2018 added to the huge number of examinees makes it predictable for the cutoff to rise.
Hence your chances of KGMU are actually 50-50.
It lies pretty much on the verge.

Hope you get it.

All the Best !

According to previous years cut off marks vs rank analysis your rank will lie between 21338 - 29229, bds state quota cut off for kmc goes around 522 against a rank of 14068 from general category so you have no-meagre chances of getting bds at kmc from state quota but nothing can be said as previous years cut off change every year depend upon level of difficulty of paper that year no of candidates applying etc so nothing can be predicted with 100% clarity especially if you are on borderline of getting/not getting a seat (as you have scored 500, 522 was cut off last year you might get if cut off goes down to 500 and you might not get if it does not)

Dear Sir / Ma'm, the cut-off for the King George Medical University, Lucknow was 613 for general category students, 557 for Scheduled Caste category students and the same was 496 for Scheduled Tribe category students in the 15% All India Quota counselling in the year 2018. However, these cut-offs are subject to change with every year.

Hello aspirant,

King goerge's medical university do not provide the  course of BAMS. you may find it in other colleges of uttar pradesh like

  • Bundelkhand  govt. Ayurvedic college
  • Govt. Aryurvedic college and hospital
  • RB ayurvedic medical college and hospital
  • KV ayurvedic medical college
  • Sarojini naidu medical college

These are some top colleges and with your secured marks you have good chances of getting admission in any of these colleges.

Here is the list of all the colleges with each and every college: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://medicine.careers360.com/colleges/list-of-bams-bachelor-of-ayurveda-medicine-and-surgery-colleges-in-uttar-pradesh&ved=2ahUKEwip79OYrbniAhUHRo8KHdy4Cb0QFjAGegQIBBAB&usg=AOvVaw0IPBWBumE4_sSibC6gY2K6

Best of luck!!

So according to the recent trends, I would divide the marks slot into most likely and a definite shot part.

Most likely you will get KGMC(believing that you are a general student), should be somewhere near 570 BUT now more than the marks this fact needs to be highlighted that the difference that marks make pertain to the level of difficulty you encounter, so, just per se this yr norm…A safe score and a definite shot would be miles apart based on the trend and of course how your peers have fared.

In short, you need to score 600+ or 620+ for getting KGMC as per this yr’s rankings and an assured seat at 640+ can be guaranteed.

Having said that, I believe one should rather sharpen his sword during one’s prepration time rather than wasting it on thinking of the cutoffs and worrying about the same as you can never control them.

Hope you got the answer you are looking for.

Hi Akash
Last year cut off for KGMU under your category was 575.So you will not get seat in that college.
But u can try for other colleges in your state at marks you have get. Like :
  • Motilal Nehru Medical College, Allahabad
  • Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Medical College, Meerut

I have named some governnent medcial colleges for you . But you can also look for private colleges in the link given below:
https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-up
The  cut off given in the link just gives a rough idea and changes every year according to difficulty level of neet, no. of applicants and no. of seats.
You can also predict your college by entering required details in the link given below:
https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor
Best Wishes
Era Madaria

You can get both the colleges.

It will be very difficult to compare the 2 colleges because both of them are top colleges of the country.

Excellent patient flow, faculty, with modern medical facility.

The one thing which can be looked is student intake. It is lesser in bhu hence more teacher student interaction may be possible while kgmc has 250 students in one batch.

Besides this  , it is difficult to compare the two.

Yes the college have a good clinical exposure which is an essential part in a medical practitioner's life. The good patient load helps us in learning skills which won't suffice just by reading books. There is a good set of equipments and devices necessary for examining the patient and being a student ut helps in learning skills ..... Finally there are adequate number of wifi connections available which are used by us for viewing video lectures.
