Ramchandra Chandravansi University, Palamu Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Ramchandra Chandravansi University (RCU) offers different courses in its campus in Nawadihkala Bishrampur Palamu, Jharkhand. RCU operates on merit-based admission, which considers only marks obtained in qualifying examinations and/or entrance tests, depending on the program. The new academic session at RCU starts around August to September. The university usually keeps admissions taking place months in advance. Admission into undergraduate programs is based upon the qualifying examination (10+2) or university-an organized entrance such as JEE Main for engineering courses. For postgraduate admissions, either the graduation marks or the relevant entrance scores (GATE, CEED, JAM, CAT) are counted in a program-wise categorization.

Different programs have different eligibility criteria, but in general, aggregate marks obtained in qualifying examinations minimum 50% for most courses. For undergraduate programs, the student should complete 10+2 of relevant subjects. Most postgraduate students should hold a bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university. RCU accepts qualifies for many entrance examination centers of the country. For the engineering class, admissions will accept JEE Main scores; while the entry for MBBS and many medical studies is possible through NEET scores, other tests will be conducted by the university for other programs.

Application Process

The application process for Ramchandra Chandravansi University is different for each of the programs:

For B.Tech programs:

1. Qualify through JEE Main or the university's entrance test.

For the MBBS program:

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech: Admission to the B.Tech program in RCU is primarily based on JEE Main scores or the university's own entrance test. Several B.Tech programs such as Electronics and Communication, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Computer Science Engineering are available in this institute. Students must complete 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

M.Tech: Although no particular specifications are given, in general, admission into M.Tech courses relies primarily on scores earned in the GATE exams, followed sometimes by written tests and/or interviews. A B.E./B.Tech. or an equivalent degree in the relevant area should be possessed by applicants.

MBA: Most probably, admission in the MBA program of RCU will be through the CAT score or scores obtained through an entrance test administered by the university. It might also require a written ability test and personal interview.

MBBS: Admission in MBBS at Laxmi Chandravansi Medical College Hospital (attached to RCU) is done on merit basis through the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) by NTA at an approved intake of 100 seats.

Ph.D: RCU offers Ph.D. programs in 30 disciplines or more such as Engineering, Sciences, Arts, Commerce, and Management. Admissions are mainly given based on academic performance during a written test and/or interview. Departments may consider GATE/UGC-NET/CSIR scores in lieu of a written test provided that this is allowed in specific departments.
