36 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering is a full-time three years Doctoral course offered by Sandip University, Nashik.
The course is available for part-time four years also.
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. Programme shall have a Master's degree of a recognized University with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed.
- A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (with non-creamy layer)/NT/SBC/PWD.
- Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil. Course work with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade 'B' in the UGC 7-point scale or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed and successfully completing the M.Phil. Degree. A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (with non-creamy layer)/NT/SBC/PWD.
Admission Details
Candidates who have qualified M.Phil. UGC-NET, JRF, UGC-CSIR, SLET, GATE, CAT etc. are exempted from attending the SUNPET. However, they have to apply by filling the application form along with the application fee and attested copies of necessary documents. They have to appear for personal interview.
The candidates securing 50% marks in SUNPET (Average of Part-I & II) will be shortlisted for personal interview. The list of shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the SUN website.
