Amar Singh College, Srinagar Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a well-equipped library with a collection of about 70,000 books including a collection of rare books. There are a general library and a big reading room that cater to the teachers' needs and the students alike. There is a separate section for Reference Books. Textbooks are kept in separate bookshelves/ almirahs. The books in the general library are categorized as Reference/ Reserve. There is a Bank facility to cater exclusively to the needs of underprivileged students. Books for competitive examinations are issued to the students.

The college has sports facilities for all the students. The College has a very big playground having cricket, football and hockey fields in it. The College has also a common room with the provision of indoor games like Carom, Chess,  etc. Health Club for physical fitness of students equipped with motorized treadmills, exercising cycle, multi-gym, other devices like a jogger, aerobics, etc. Gymnasium: for training students in a variety of games like Table Tennis, Badminton, Volley Ball, Hand Ball, and Weight Lifting, etc.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars. A new building is underway for a College auditorium and extracurricular facilities.

The college has a departmental based laboratories facility for the students. The science laboratories are well equipped to cater to the students in UG and PG courses. The laboratories cater to the needs of the student by having a well-equipped Computer laboratory, Physics laboratory, Botany laboratory, Zoology Laboratory, Chemistry laboratory, and Psychology laboratory.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students. The college has a medical room situated in the college where a medical assistant is always present to meet any unforeseen situation. Arrangements for first-aid and medical care are fully available for minor injuries to the students inside the campus. In case of a serious medical emergency, help is provided by shifting the ward to a nearby hospital.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students. A fully equipped state-of-the-art Computer labs. Well managed fully networked on LAN hi-tech computer labs with 24-hour internet connectivity through broadband lines and Wi-Fi. Audio & Video enabled Presentation room with advanced Projectors and sound system devices.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students. A spacious and well-laid-out student cum faculty canteen was inaugurated to enable the students and faculty to relax in their free time, enjoy tasty and hygienic food, and engage in creative activities.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members. The college has well-furnished guest accommodation with comforts of home and equipped with facilities like 24 hours uninterrupted Power Supply and hot water facility. It also has Wi-Fi-enabled internet connectivity with desktop.

The college is having a Boys Hostel, the construction of which was completed in 2008 by the Social Welfare Department J&K Government. More than 100 students have been given admission in the current session. The hostel is having 25 Rooms which can accommodate about 100 students. The hostel is having a Mess room and a recreational room with T.V. and Sports facilities.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The College has a thirty-seated Vehicle. The vehicle facility is used through proper permission from the Principal for departmental activities, trips to places of academic interests, and the various extension initiatives taken up by the faculty members and students of the college.

The College At the entry gate, a specified parking shed has been constructed for the parking of vehicles staff, and students, which keeps the campus free from pollution.

The college has a girl's hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) of the college has conducted various awareness and training programs for general awareness of the student community about the electoral process. By use of dummy EVMs, students have also been trained about the use of EVMs.
