Hi,
Asansol engineering college is a private college. It take admission on the basis of entrance test like wb jee, jee main, amu entrance test etc.
With 77 percentile in jee main your expected overall general rank will be around 25,916.you can calculate the rank is as
100 - your total percentile score is the percentage of people ahead of you. 112679 are the number of candidates appeared for January exam.
So rank formula is (100 - 77) X 112679 /100.
If the number of candidates for April exam increased to 1200000 then your expected final rank shall be around (100 - 77) X 1200000/100 that is 276,000.
If we look at previous years trends of admission with a rank around 25,916 you can expect a seat in this college.

Dear Ayush,
Well,I am having my close friends studying in both these colleges and i know much about these colleges and i hope i will be able to provide you with a satisfactory answer to your question.
Asansol engineering college is located in the heart of the city asansol near jubliee petrol pump. The infrastructure is pretty decent just like most of the private colleges. The level of teaching is satisfactory but at the end of the day the students have to study on their own.The placement cell is active there and students from cs/it/ece backgrounds get placed in It companies which are mostly mass recruiters(TCS,IBM etc.).The classrooms ,labs are equiped with all modern facilities and you won't get disappointed with the technical facilities provided there.
Coming to DR.BC ROY ENGINEERING COLLEGE,the infrastructure is quite good even better than AEC.The teaching quality is average and the placements are not quite good ,however the training and placement cell manages to bring a couple of companies which are mostly non reputed ,some new startups for placement of their students. Also the location of the college is quite odd and isolated .Also the wbjee cutoff of this college is way higher so the peer group you will be sharing will not be good enough, also the labs are facing shortage of technical equipments the management being so inefficient.
Conclusion: According to my opinion Asansol engineering college is way better than Dr. B.C Roy Engineering College. Also the former is ranked higher than the later by many reputed magazines and govt of India.
Hence Asansol Engineering College wins hands down.
Hope I have made my self clear
Best Wishes!
Yes since in the second counselling you have got techno india you have to report to the reporting center for upgrading again. Only in the 3rd round you can lock it if you want. And after the mop up round there will be another decentralized round for another chance of upgrading
Dear aspirant,
As per your query the fee structure for Asansol Engineering College for JELET is for 1st year 131,959 for second year 95,708 for third year 96,992 which sums up to 324,659. Hope you find this helpful. Thank you
Dear,
This year students of Asansol Engineering College, Asansol got direct campus placements in top companies like Infosys, Wipro, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Accenture and more.
Students of Asansol Engineering College, Asansol received Highest Package offer of Rs. 4 Lakhs per annum and Average Package of Rs. 2.5 Lakhs per annum. I would say the placements and job opportunities were far better before. It is being deteriorated but still TCS as the main recruiter comes every year.IT companies come more than core ones so for core engineers it's a little disadvantage but still, we can sit for IT's. Pinnacle and a new company had come and it has taken some of the students.
Hope this helps! Good luck.
Absolutely you can take admission there. It's a good college if you want to pursue Computer Science Engineering or IT. You just have to register yourself for the counseling process and with your rank they'll allot you the colleges. Once they do you can directly approach the college for admission.
All the best

Good Luck!
All are very good. The quality of food in the canteen is very good. Medical facilities are excellent. Various types of sports and activities are there. The students who stayed in the hostel all said the food they provide is very good and freshly prepared. And most importantly, hygiene is maintained all over the food they provide in the canteen and mess.
Facilities and infrastructure are good and up to the mark. There is no issue with this. All are properly maintained. The quality of the hostel and food is average. Sports are held from time to time to entertain students. Music and cultural events also take place.
We have been provided with decent campus and hostel facilities. On campus, we have well-equipped labs with a good number of computers and other equipment for various subjects, with air conditioners included. In the hostel, we have 24/7 Wi-Fi access, and proper rooms are provided (2 students per room). Food is just average or a bit below.
