Firstly, Asansol Engineering college :

• Location is decent, in the heart of the city.

• Teaching style is good, but at the end of the day you have to study on your own as well.

• Placement cell is very active, students of CS and IT branches get job offers from TCS, IBM etc.

• Location is in the outskirts of the city, in a bit isolated place - which is the case of most engineering colleges here in West Bengal.

Asansol Engineering College, West Bengal offers admission on the basis of both Jee Main and Wbjee scores. West Bengal Joint Cutoffs are quite low. Considering you as a general category candidate, if you have a rank within 22000, then you can get Computer Science in Asansol engineering College after round 3 of counselling. Last year the closing rank was around 24000, and this year the cutoffs might get hanged so to be on safe side, try to secure a rank within 20000 to 22000. As there are good courses in this college and they are giving importance to the upcoming technologies and it is approved with that of the ALL INDIA COUNCIL OF THE TECHNICAL EDUCATION  and this college is affiliated by the Maulana Abdul kalaam Azad university of technology and this college in short form called as Aec and placement will be good in this college and the study environment over there will be good too.....
