Basirhat Government Polytechnic, Basirhat Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

Government-Basarat Polytechnic,  is a state-run technical institute situated in Basirhat, West Bengal. The institute runs diploma programs in engineering disciplines. The courses are duly approved by the AICTE. Admission takes place based on merit, through the Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics West Bengal (JEXPO). In general, a candidate must have passed the 10th class with Mathematics and Physical Science as subjects. Candidates must regularly check the official WBSCTVESD website for all official notifications regarding JEXPO dates and updates.

Application Process

1. Registration is to be done for the JEXPO examination under the auspices of the West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development (WBSCTVESD).
2. Fill up the JEXPO application form properly with all personal and academic details.
3. Payment of the application fee has to be made as specified by the exam authority.
4. Candidates must appear for the JEXPO exam on a specified date.
5. The successful candidates are called for counseling after the declaration of results.
6. In the counseling based on their rank and seat availability, they should list Basirhat Government Polytechnic and the course of their choice
7. If a seat is allocated, candidates must report to the polytechnic for document verification and admission completion.

DIPLOMA IN COMPUTER SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
Seats: intake 60
Admission through merit in JEXPO.
Duration: Three years.
Focus: The fundamentals of computer science and technology.

DIPLOMA IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
Seats: intake 60
Admission through merit in JEXPO.
Duration: Three years.
Focus: Fundamentals and applications of electrical engineering.

DIPLOMA IN RENEWABLE ENERGY
Seats: intake 60
Admission through merit in JEXPO.
Duration: Three years.
Focus: Sustainable energy technologies.
Fee structure: For all diploma programs: Rs. 4,090.
