Admission to Engineering courses in BIT, Sindri is based on merit in Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE). BIT, Sindri does not accept JEE Main score. The eligibility to get admission in BIT, Sindri is tha a candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subject along with ant of the Chemistry/Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject. Candidate belonging to general category must have passed with at least 45% marks and for candidate belonging to reserved categories must have passed with minimum 40% marks. You are eligible to get admission provided you must have appeared in JCECE and qualify in it.

BIT Sindri or Birsa Institute of Technology is one of the top tier Institutes in Jharkhand for engineering. It was ranked 24 by the Outlook and 27 by India Today for engineering in 2019.

• Infrastructure: BIT sindri Boasts a 400 acre campus with a lush green environment that promotes serenity in learning. There are hostel facilities for students, well maintained canteens, libraries as well as medical facilities. Classrooms, too, are well maintained. Various sports related clubs promote physical health and entertainment as well.
• Faculties: The faculties are highly qualified and experienced, most being PhD holders. They're approachable as well as Innovative in teaching. • Placements: The placements offered by VIT are second to only the IITs. The top recruiting companies are microsoft, Phillips, TCS, HP, Bosch etc. The average package is around 7LPA whereas the highest package went up to 41.6LPA. BIT SINDRI has completely changed its reputations from past 3-4 years. With lots of government funding and initiatives the college infrastructure, academics, placements everything is getting better. With almost 90 percent renovation completed the college looks like top college of the country as it has 400 acre land with vegetation all around. Academics are getting better and placements are getting better with companies like adani group, samsung, tata power and other big companies started coming recently.

Yes, It is necessary to get 75% aggregate in 5 subjects of class 12th board. You must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects along with one language and one vocational.

You have to score 75% aggregate in class 12th if you want to get into IITs, NITs, IIITs, and some other GFTIs. 95 percentile in JEE Mains is a good score but for admission you need to fulfill the basic eligibility criteria.

However, if you are unable to get 75% aggregate, you can try for some private colleges. Most of the private colleges eligibility criteria is 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

As BIT SINDRI has started taking admission through jee mains by NTA so rank in jee mains will be considered for admissions into UG courses at BIT SINDRI. As per previous year online counseling will be there and no JCECE exam will be there. You can prepare for jee mains at our e-learning platform

Earlier admission in BIT Sindri was based on JCECE (Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination) but from 2019 it was announced by JCECEB that there will be no JCECE for the academic year 2019 - 20 and bit sindri will offer admission to candidates based on JEE mains marks.

For BIT Sindri you should atleast get 93 percentile to be on safe side as last year the admission was done on the basis of marks/percentile obtained in JEE Mains.But Earlier the admission was done on the basis of marks obtained in JCECE and in that to get seat in CSE candidate should secure rank within 200-300 to get admission in CSE.

Hello Aspirant,Admission in Birsa Institute of Technology (BIT) Sindri is on the basis of JEE Mains result results, Earlier till 2018 admission has been taken on the basis of Jharkhand Combine Engineering Entrance Exam,so you should have given JEE Mains and your percentile should be at least around 92 to just get admission, more over you should have a domicile of Jharkhand, and there also some Quota for Kashmiri and International students and if you belongs to some category you should have that category certificate also.
