Have a question related to College of Engineering, Trivandrum ?

me obc category me ata hu muze mht cet me 45 percentile hai aur mere ghar me jamin hai meze total fees kitni deni padegi?

students with an annual family income between INR 1 lakh and INR 8 lakh might be eligible for a freeship, covering 100% of tuition and exam fees. While your landholding might affect your family's income and thus your scholarship eligibility, the direct impact information is provided by university where you take admission.

It is recommended to check specific scheme guidelines or connect with a college for more detailed information regarding your particular situation. Having a 45 percentile in MHT CET is considered a low score and may affect your college choices, but various scholarship programs aim to reduce the financial burden of higher education for eligible OBC students.

Which college to choose VSSUT Burla or OUTR(CET) Bhubaneswar..I m not getting CS/IT.So tell me only for core branches like which is best. And which would give me better future scope as I have a thought to prepare for GATE in the future. Plz someone help

Hello,

For core branches (like Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, etc.), VSSUT Burla is a better choice than OUTR (CET) Bhubaneswar.

Here’s why:

  • Strong core departments : VSSUT has a long history and strong reputation in core engineering.

  • Better GATE environment : Many students from VSSUT prepare for GATE, so you will get a good peer group and study environment.

  • Good faculty and alumni : Especially in core branches, VSSUT has better faculty support and alumni network in PSU and higher studies.

So, if your focus is on core branches and GATE preparation, VSSUT Burla is the better option.

Hope it helps !

Thanks for reaching out. Scoring 43 percentile in MHT CET might me low , so getting into top engineering colleges may be difficult, especially in core branches like CS or IT. However, don’t worry you still have options in private or semi-private colleges.Based on recent years, with 43 percentile, you can not make it to the CAP rounds for top government colleges, but some colleges you can still look at include:
  • Jayawantrao Sawant College of Engineering, Pune
  • Trinity College of Engineering, Pune
  • Sanjeevan Engineering College, Kolhapur
Also, you can explore branches other than CS/IT, like Civil, Mechanical, or Electronics, where cutoffs are usually lower. You may also try for admission through the institute-level quota or management quota in private colleges. Keep checking the CAP Round seat allotments—sometimes there are seats vacant in the later rounds.
Wishing you good luck,
