College of Horticulture Engineering and Food Technology, Devihosur, offers specialised programmes in horticulture and food technology, and is providing quality education in these specialised areas. College of Horticulture Engineering and Food Technology admission process for young candidates is designed to attract persons with a strong foundation base and interest in areas of horticultural sciences and food technology. At present, College of Horticulture Engineering and Food Technology offers two undergraduate courses: the B.Sc. (Hons.) in Horticulture and the B.Tech. in Food Technology. These are full-time undergraduate programmes of four years' duration that impart in-depth theoretical knowledge and expertise in their respective areas.
College of Horticulture Engineering and Food Technology admission cycle is generally in tandem with the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) which is the principal entrance test for B.Tech Food Technology admission. An aspiring candidate willing to gain admission into B.Tech Food Technology has to qualify for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET). The KCET would assess the proficiency of the candidates in the respective subjects ensuring that the admitted student shall have the required academic base to cope up with the requirement of the programme.
