UPES B.Tech Admissions 2026
ApplyRanked #43 among Engineering colleges in India by NIRF | Highest Package 1.3 CR , 100% Placements
Hey aspirant,
Choosing between CSE and ECE can be a bit tricky but here are some key points which can help you make a better choice for yourself:
1. See if you want to learn coding and have keen interest in learning different machine languages. If this makes you happy then go for CSE.
2. ECE can be a better option for candidates who do not have a good knowledge about coding and see if other topics can interest them.
3. CSE ensures that you are going to IT sector but ECE can give you Job in IT sector as well as other core jobs.
4. Both CSE and ECE are good branches from placement point of view and highest package of any college comes from either of the branches almost every year.
As far as you are confused about the colleges....more or less there are similar facilities so go with the branch as I would like to say.
Hope this helps you.
Hello Aspirant.
Yes, you can change your branch in DSCE{ Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering} without any management quota but you'll just have to fulfill their criteria of admission in the college. For the branch change the specified CGPA which will be mentioned by the college for the admission should be secured by the student. But really sorry to say that the change of branch in engineering colleges is rarely possible as the branch change depends upon the number of factors such as the vacant seat in that specific college , your CGPA for the admission. In order to change your college branch to DSCE it is only possible when your grades are better from first one.
The competition would be high and possibilities of successful branch changes are less(there would be no vacant seats as DSCE is always filled ever year).
The information provided above is best of my knowledge and hope that you have got your answer.
ALL THE BEST, DON'T LOOSE HOPE AND STAY MOTIVATED.
Thankyou.
Hi,
I ope you are doing well.
hiii ,
according to me dayanand sagar college would be a better choice , but you can do your own reaseach and then join the college .
for more college through comedk you can use the comedk college predictor - https://engineering.careers360.com/comedk-college-predictor?ici=cp-listing_engineering&icn=COMEDK-College-Predictor
Dear applicant it's great that you have immense interest towards B.Arch course. Out of the options chosen, Dayananda Sagar Institute is a much better one compared to the other because, overall siddaganga Institute is a good one but your career opportunities will not get enough chance to flourish. Whereas in Dayanand Sagar, throughout your five years of B.Arch journey you will learn a lot from your faculties, the curriculum is very neatly taught by them. After your degree completion you would receive good placements with average salary of 4-5 LPA.

Hello aspirant ,
With the above rank , you might get a seat in DSCE college in Bangalore , although your chances to get there is very thin as cutoff trends keep on varying every year as it depends on number of factors .

Dear aspirant,
As per the previous year cut offs are considered usually the ece branch gets closed till 15k but this is totally dependent on some factors like number of candidates appearing in the examination, number of vacant seats in college previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.
So, if the seats are not filled up then the cut off can definitely reach to your rank but if it gets filled then it would be a tough one to get it.
As per my knowledge the cut off will go down this year.

Our college has very good infrastructure. Classrooms are well-equipped with projectors. Wi-Fi facility is available on campus. Library has a great volume of books and digital libraries are also available. Canteen and hostel facilities are provided on campus.
Hostel facilities were not good. The fee varied from Rs. 22500 to Rs. 115000. There were no single-seater rooms. All rooms were double-seaters. There was an NRI hostel for foreigners with extra facilities, but most students opted for rental rooms nearby the college, which were very cheap
Infrastructure is the worst. Hostel fee is very expensive, and they don't provide the same facilities (not worth it). Food is okay. They will be increasing the hostel fee year by year. Common washrooms for girls, and no proper care in the hostel. Infrastructure is not good.
