The Delhi Institute of Heritage Research and Management (DIHRM) as a specialised educational institute for heritage research and management. It is located in the Qutab Institutional Area of New Delhi, and its primary aim is the preservation and promotion of knowledge relating to India's cultural heritage. DIHRM admission process aims to find competent persons with a real interest in the field of heritage. Since it is an institution with government status, academic merit gets a fair share during selection, too.
Delhi Institute of Heritage Research and Management aims to attract those seriously interested in pursuing careers in archaeology and heritage management. In general, the eligibility criteria for programmes at DIHRM reproduce a rather good academic profile in an appropriate field of study. DIHRM offers two specialized master's degree programmes to the students. Following are the programmes offered.
This full-time programme is aimed at imparting knowledge and skills to students in an integrated manner on conservation techniques, preservation strategies, and heritage management practices; Delhi Institute of Heritage Research and Management admission process probably includes an assessment of the candidates' academic background in related fields such as history, archaeology, accession studies, etc.
This focuses on the development of expertise in archaeological practices and heritage management. Admission may also consider applicants' previous academic performance in subjects like history, anthropology, or archaeology; candidates might also undergo an evaluation based on their understanding of archaeological methodologies and principles of heritage conservation.
Both programmes focus on giving opportunities to students so that they come out with the right competencies for the workplace in their respective fields. Delhi Institute of Heritage Research and Management admission process for either programme will be fashioned in such a way that it would target the evaluation of candidates from the perspective of their ability to excel in this specialised area of study.
