95 percentile but try to get 99 percentile for safe side

Till last year, FMS used the following scoring criteria
CAT score 85%
Personal Interview 10%
Extempore speech 5%

However, they may ask you about your school marks during the personal Interview.

Yeah you would be eligible for old iim's and fms but no one can actually guarantee admission so just focus and try your best to maximize your score so as to secure calls from everywhere and convert the best

Even if you do not have great academic score doesn't mean you can't get into a good bschool. You should aim for all the old IIMs. If you get a good percentile in CAT, you might receive a call from quite a number of them. And then a lot depends on the personal interview. If you are able to ace it, you can easily get into them.

Other than MDI and FMS aim for all the IIMs. You can also look at SPJAIN, NMIMS, JBIMS. You can also go for XAT and look at XLRI.

FMS Delhi takes the admission through CAT entrance exam, you require more than 98% in the exam. You should have minimum 50% in your graduation as a general category & 45% as a reserved category.

The Selection to the course will be based on Personal interview, Group discussion and CAT score Shortlisted candidates are then called for a Group discussion and Personal interview round. The final selection is based on the cumulative performance of the candidate in the CAT Score as well as the group discussion and personal interview round.

Here are some preparation tips you can follow :

Time Schedule: Make your time schedule section wise as it will help you to find out the week areas & plan a strategy for study.

Take Online Mock Tests: You must take computer-based mock CAT 2017 so that you are familiar with the actual test environment. Mock test will help you in any wastage of time.

Analyze your performance:  After each mock test you must analyse your performance and evaluate your scoring areas based on CAT exam pattern.

Focus on strength: By evaluate your own preparation,  You must focus on your strong areas and build on the same. As most of the questions in CAT syllabus are based on the application of basic concepts, learning both concepts and application.

Do Practise: Do practise as much you can. Regular practice with a scheduled stretch will not only help increase your question-solving speed but also make you habituated to sit for three hours and revise the formula, vocabulary and grammer rules.

Time Management:  Time management is one of most important part of the CAT with prioritisation of questions.  If you are doubtful on a question in the first glance, you leave it in the first round and come back to it in sequence after you have completed the first round of attempts. As quickly try to solve the questions.

The CAT exam only measures your intellect and the kind of effort that you have put.

Good Luck!

Hi, Your question suggests that you want to pursue an MBA programme. Apart from IIMs, FMS, SP Jain and XLRI which are considered as the topmost management schools in the country, there are various other prestigious management schools where you can apply. However, it would be better if you could decide the stream (Ex. MBA in HR, Marketing, Sports Management, Aviation Management, Retail, Agriculture, International Business, Logistics, Entrepreneurship etc.) in which you want to pursue the programme. It would help you cut-down the long list of B-schools where you actually can apply. To help you further, here is the list of some renowned B-schools in the country: TA Pai Management Institute, Manipal Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai Xavier Institute of Management, Xavier University, Bhubaneswar Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development, Pune IBS Business School, Hyderabad Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship, Bangalore Symbiosis Institute of International Business, Pune Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur There are many other B-schools offering MBA programmes in different streams. Here is the complete list of management schools in the country (link given below). I'm sure it'll be helpful for you. https://bschool.careers360.com/colleges/ranking/2017

Last year for NC-OBC, FMS call was given at around 90 percentile for male

There are additional marks for females so you could get a call at lower percentile also

FMS, New Delhi is a creme layer B- school and the past records establish the fact that FMS intakes students with a very high percentile. If you are a general category student, then though you might get a call at 97 percentile too as there have been students who got last year but for the final admission think no less than 99.6 percentile.
Percentile has 85% weight backed by a very good interview and extempore.
For an NC-OBC candidate, 95 percentile is what the cutoff is for getting calls from FMS for further rounds. However for final admission 98+ percentile will actually strengthen your chances.
For SC/ST category, students with 85 percentile have got calls last year. But again do not rely upon this percentile score because for final admission they prefer students with 90+ percentile in this category.
All the best for CAT'17.!!

Yes, you will get a call from the old IIMs and FMS. You can also look at the following site to get a better idea: https://admission.aglasem.com/iim-selection-criteria/

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is different from department to department. Some departments have really high-tech facilities, and others are pretty basic. Libraries are fantastic for marketing resources. There are some problems with parking and Wi-Fi on many campuses.

FMS, University of Delhi

The infrastructure is above average. It has all facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, A/C classrooms, library and medical facilities. Labs and classrooms are air-conditioned and contain all the required material. The mess was also designed well, and the food was awesome.
