This admission process for the School of Management Studies, GSMS, is among the fullest and most competitive ones for its management programs. This institute was approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and would then follow all national educational standards, thus able to give a high-quality learning experience to students wishing to become future managers and entrepreneurs. The admission process in GSMS is designed to select some of the best and brightest among all applicants for its various management programmes. For most of the management courses available at the institute, an entrance examination at the national level and the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) are considered, along with the academic score of the applicant from their bachelor's program.

Degree wise Admission Process
MBA International Business: Admission to this program is administered by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Government of Gujarat. The selection is based on the performance of the candidates in Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) and marks in the undergraduate degree. The program has an approved intake of 60 seats.
MBA Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Venture Development: This program is unique in that admission is processed by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Candidates will need to clear an entrance examination conducted by AICTE. Those who qualify will have to deliver their business ideas to a panel of experts. The final merit list will be created based on those evaluations. The program has an approved intake of 30 seats at a total fee of Rs 50,000.
M.Phil Business Management: The admission details are generally not specified; in most cases, this program tends to be research-oriented and asks for at least a master's degree in a related field. The program has an intake of 10 seats and a fee of Rs 24,000.
PGD Digital Marketing: This is a postgraduate diploma program that is targeted for provision of specialized training in marketing in a digital economy.
