Kalimpong College, Darjeeling Facilities

Library
The College has a fully equipped library with all the necessary books for all courses. The College Library was founded in the year 1962 with the establishment of Kalimpong College within the college building. The new separate building was completed in the year 2015 on the auspicious occasion of the Golden Jubilee year of the college. The foundation stone of the new Golden Jubilee Library Building was laid on 13.03.2012 by Shri Bratya Basu, Hon’ble Minister of Education, Higher Education Department, Government of West Bengal, and inaugurated on 26.06.2015 by Dr. T.B. Subba, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Sikkim Central University.
I.T Infrastructure
The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure for the students.
Alumni Associations
The college has a good network for the alumni association.
Laboratories
There are 6 laboratories in block B, which are used for conducting practicals, project works, and theory classes. The Botany department maintains a herbarium of local flora, and locally available botanical specimens are also kept in the laboratory. The number of rooms occupied by each practical-oriented subject is Botany (3); Zoology (2); Geography (2); Physics (1); Chemistry (4); and Mathematics (2). All the laboratory rooms are equipped with LCD projectors, whiteboards, white screens, and internet connectivity.
Auditorium
The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.
Cafeteria
The two-story building has been constructed as a Canteen by the GTA Fund. With this building, the long-standing demand for a proper Canteen has been fulfilled. A clean, airy canteen with a proper kitchen, water supply, and a space to accommodate 80 persons (approx) at a time, indeed providing both the students and staff of the college with healthy and hygienic food.
Sports
The College encourages students to participate in all kinds of games and sports (both outdoor and indoor) in every possible way. The College holds an excellent record in the field of games and sports, and the students of this College have performed and attained outstanding feats at the state, national, and International levels as well. Every year, the College sends the Football team, Volleyball team, and athletics players to participate in the inter-college tournaments held by the University of North Bengal, and the College holds a very good record as well. Besides these sports, the College selects players from the College after the selection trial and sends them to university-level participation in the field of Badminton, Table-Tennis, etc. Apart from these, different types of sports events, including Carrom and Ches,s are held throughout the year both inside and outside the College for both the staff as well as the students.

The college has a Smart classroom facility for the students.
Gym
The college has a Gym facility for the students.
Wifi
The college has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff. The entire campus is connected with wi-fi. There are enough desktops and laptops at the institute for both employees and students. In the classrooms during each teaching block, the computers are accessible to both students and teachers. The administrative block has computers and printers for use. In the classrooms, lecture rooms, and labs, projectors are available.
Training and Placement Cell
The College has provided a Training and Placement cell to the students.
