Hello. You have a good percentile. It means that 6% of tot students appeared in the exam are ahead of you. (Approx Tot. Students appeared- 874469).

Though it is difficult to predict the cutoff for any particular college now but any rank below 2,00,000 might get you qualified for JEE Advanced.

You can check your rank from the below link.

Rank- (100-your percentile score)*(874469/100)

According to this your rank is 52468.

But remember that this is not the final rank. Your rank depends on your percentile which ultimately depends on the no. of students appearing in April exam. So if the no. of students increases in April attempt (which oviously it will) your rank and percentile will change.

To know cutoff for nits you need to wait till April after NTA declares the overall merit list on 30th April.

Hope this helps. You can check the below link for more details.

Hi there.

The final cut off list will be declared by NTA after the April session of the JEE mains examination.

As for now, your probable rank can be calculated.

Now, A total of 874469 candidates wrote the exam. Since the percentile is calculated from a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of examinees, the formula applies the total number of students in the January session which is 874469 /100 multiplied by the percentage of people who are ahead of you to arrive at the rank.

Therefore, the formula to calculate the JEE Main 2019 rank for January 2019 is

JEE Main 2019 rank (probable) = (100- 76.53 ) X 874469 /100 = 205238 (approximately)

This rank may inflate or deflate depending on the total number of candidates who write the examination. in the April session.

You could take a probable calculation and see where you stand. This means that you take a hypothetical number of the candidates who will appear in April. If you go by past trends, the figures are somewhat between 11 lakhs to 12 lakhs. Using this as a basis, use the NTA score and see which JEE Main rank you will get.

Using the same formula,

If NTA percentile score is 76.53, JEE Main rank will be (100-76.53) X 1200000/100 = 281640

Now, using this estimated calculation, you can check previous year cut off trends and think of an idea of the probable colleges.

Good luck!

Hello Devitha,

First of all, I want you to know that board percentage is not required for final rank. Talking about the seat in college, its hard to predict as you know from this year two exams will be conducted. Cutoff will be released only after 2nd exam and then only we can predict anything about it. As of now you can try to increase this precentile to around 75-80% and then you can be assured of NIT or IIIT. For more information about branchwise NIT college you can visit : https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/nits-cutoff-for-top-btech-branches

Hello

It is difficult to predict the actual rank or JEE Advanced qualifying marks as for the first time JEE Main is being conducted twice and rank will be based on NTA percentile score.
You may calculate the expected rank by this formula-

874469 are the number of candidates appeared for the January exam.
So rank formula is (100- your total score) * 874469 / 100.
If the number of candidates for April exam increased to 1400000 then your final rank shall be (100- your total score) * 1400000/100

According to the above formula, your expected rank will be around 174893.

Nothing can be exactly said about the qualifying percentile till the April exam.

Good Luck!

Hello

You have got good percneperc but the percentage and cut off would be calculated again for the second session so it would completely depend on that performance too and you could see carrers 360 link of prevopre year cut off and ranks you would get an idea about that cut off .

Thank you

Hello gaddam!

jee advanced minimum percentile qualification is 70 percentile as declared by the NTA.

The nit admission minimum qualification percentage in class 12 is

General category - 75%

Sc/st category - 65%

Or the top 20 percentile in the class 12 exam conducted by your respective boards.

hii sah

frankly to say you have very low percentile , while its hard to decide by the percentile as the admission goes by RANK not by percentile since find out your RANK fallow the below way

To calculate you rank you can use the formulae given below -

Rank=(total number of students -(percentile*0.01*number of students))

Where total number of students who appeared for the examination is 9.65 lakhs.

If You get below 224000 then you are eligible for JEE advance4

regards

Hello Navyasri..

Percentile= (marks you got*100)/(toppers marks in that session).

According to careers360 rank formula,

Rank formula= [(100-total score) * (no of students wrote exam)] /100

No of students attended are 874469.

So your expected rank will be nearly around 1,05,933.

As per previous year jee mains, any rank below 2,00,000 will be qualified for jee advanced.

So according to expected rank of yours, so you are eligible for jee advanced.

Hope this helps you. All the best

Hey raushan!

The best way to calculate the rank is using the below formula.

Rank = total no of students--percentile×0.01×number of students

The minimum percentage qualification for nit for general category is 75%

And sc/st category is 65%

Wish you all the best
