This college have huge campus. It has a board room specially dedicated for conducting interviews apart from well equipped lounge room. Well maintained buildings and laboratories. Library has equipped with good range of books.
Faculties are highly well educated. They always guiding students and helping everyone. In my time it's a many faculties are helping me so much for that I don't need any extra coching. They are teaching techniques also very good.
They try to give students a experience of industry so they also provide good internships. Also they find good placement opportunities for students. They always try to be helpful for every student. Staffs are also good.
Our college has all necessary facilities such as Wi-Fi, good laboratories, excellent classrooms and a library with a huge collection of books. Our college lacks hostel facilities which is absent in most private engineering colleges of Kolkata.
I am studying Mechanical Engineering as this is the evergreen branch. Quality of teaching is good and teachers in our college are very helpful and knowledgeable. They are highly qualified and carry a great amount of exposure.
TCS, IBM, Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys and well-known firms recruit on our campus. Top roles offered in our course are system engineer, software developer and placements happen in core engineering sector also. College also offers some classes to improve our personality.
The classrooms are spacious, well-lit, and equipped with modern teaching aids such as projectors and whiteboards. The seating arrangement is comfortable, and the ventilation system ensures a conducive learning environment.
The college offers a comprehensive and updated curriculum that aligns with industry standards and academic requirements. The curriculum is periodically reviewed and updated to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
The college has a dedicated placement cell that works tirelessly to facilitate job opportunities for students. The college has also ties with leading companies and organizations across various sectors.
The college provides good-quality education with a curriculum that is updated to meet industry standards and academic requirements. Students receive value for their investment through access to experienced faculty, modern infrastructure, and comprehensive academic resources.
The campus boasts a wide range of student organizations and clubs catering to various interests such as sports, arts and community service. The college hosts numerous events and festivals throughout the academic year, including cultural fests, tech fairs, sports tournaments, and academic symposiums.
The classrooms are equipped with blackboards, attached desks, and benches with small windows. The books in the library are not well-maintained, dust is all over them all the time. The college campus is WiFi-enabled. There are no canteens inside the campus.
I was admitted to the course Bachelor of Business Administration, it was one of the best colleges for this course at that time. The quality of teaching is good. The curriculum is updated and it includes all the recent developments in the field.
The quality of placement is okay but it would have been great. There is not much scope for the BBA candidates. Placement opportunities are only for engineering students. There were 90 students in my batch, out of which only 15 were placed. Since the knowledge that the college provided was good, it helped me to get a good job off-campus.
I paid Rs 42000 per semester. The course fee was quite high among all other colleges in Kolkata. The money that I paid was not worth it as per the behavior of the placement office. We students look for colleges or institutions that can help us get a good job in the end. However, the placement office told me to look for a job outside, since they will not be able to provide us.
The college used to hold inter-departmental events and inter-college debates and competitions. Students took an active part in various events all around the year. Classes were not regular at that time, but every alternative day there used to be some type of event. The location is very safe, but toto was the only means of transport to reach the college and during rainy days you have no other option but to walk.
Just for the sake of getting a BBA degree, students can opt for this college.
Netaji Subhash Engineering College has the necessary infrastructure, facilities, and modern equipment that are required in the smooth running of a recent time institution. The classrooms are fitted with small windows and are not so spacious. However, they are well maintained. The food is hygienic.
I took admission for the course Bachelor of Business Administration. I found this college was offering the course at lower fees as compared to the other institutions in those times. The quality of teaching is moderate and most of the time the teachers are absent without prior notice. Students have to wait for the entire day before they are actually informed to leave.
The quality of placement is below average. There is actually no placement opportunity for the BBA students. It is only for the Engineering and BCA students. 30% of the students were placed during my time. The rest were told to look for jobs from outside.
I paid a sum of Rs 30000 per semester. The course fee was obviously less, as compared to the other BBA degree colleges at that time. But the knowledge they gave their students was not up to the mark. The teachers only shared bundle of notes, instead of enriching the students with knowledge.
The college used to hold inter-college competitions and inter-departmental debates once annually. They used to encourage the students to take part in various social works, so as to sharpen their skills and knowledge. The support staff is somewhat okay. Yes, the location is safe.
My college commonly known as NSEC has good infrastructure, facilities, and equipment. The facilities in classrooms are maintained every day. The books selves in the library are also cleaned on a daily basis. In the sports room, only one carrom board and a few cricket equipment are available. The sports room is not maintained. There are no hostels in the campus area.
I was admitted to NSEC for the course Bachelor of Business Administration. The quality of teaching is good not the best. Teachers were not concerned for their students, they only shared notes, instead of teaching in classes. The curriculum was updated.
The quality of placement is poor in NSEC. Companies do not come to hire students from the BBA course. They only take students from the Btech course. No student in my batch was placed. Where there are no companies coming to take students, there is no option for the highest package to be offered. When the tpo was asked regarding jobs, they asked to look from outside.
I used to pay Rs 42000 per semester, which was comparatively higher than the rest of the colleges in Kolkata, at that time. I was not satisfied with what I paid for. The teachers were very reluctant with their students, they did not come to college on time. Students used to come and wait for their teachers for a long. No placement opportunity for the BBA students is also a negative side.
The campus life of NSEC is good. It holds inter-college and inter-departmental debates and competitions all round the year. It also encourages students to participate in such events to enhance their skills. It holds an annual fests once a year. The location is very safe and it can handle any type of emergency.
All good but no hostel is present. Classes are equipped with projectors. Have sports centres and wifi. However, the canteen is not present. The place is well maintained and well decorated. Enough space is available for sports and fests inside the college.
I am studying AI&ML in my college, as it is one of the new branches, there are some difficulties. But the faculty are well equipped to help you cope up with those difficulties. the course is updated and the teaching will make you job-ready.
Placements till last year had been excellent. Due to the recession, the placement this year is not going great. The average salary offered is 7.5L per annum. College is supportive for both placement and internship processes.
Per year cost 1.2L, and it is value for money
It has a great campus life
The college is excellent and is recommended
It has the necessary infrastructure, equipment and facilities. The classrooms are well built in projectors and they are well maintained everyday. The laboratories, sports centres and hostel are all very clean. The entire campus is wifi enabled. The food is very much hygienic. The campus is not that much clean.
I studied bachelor of business administration. The quality of teaching is good but not the best. The teachers are not highly qualified and most of them remains absent most of the time without informing the students. The teaching knowledge is good as per the subjects.
The placement during my time was not that much good but most of the students got placed from off campus interviews. The highest package offered was 2.5 lacs. Around 50% students got placed from my batch.
I paid a sum of Rs 2 lacs for my entire course. But with the exam fees and the registration fees it totalled to Rs 2.5 lacs. The money which I paid is apt as per the knowledge that I have received from my college.
The campus life outstanding. It helds iinter departmental fests and debate round the year for the student to participate. It also works with various NGO around the year. The location is very safe and it can handle all types of emergency
Yes my college NSEC have all the equipments that are required in running a college smoothly. It have the necessary facilities and equipments as well. The classrooms are very well maintained and neat and clean. There are no canteens in the college campus.
I studied Bachelor of Business Administration because I wanted to get into the management sector. The quality of teaching is very good and the teachers are top qualified. Yes it includes all the recent developments in the field. It made me completely job ready.
The quality of placement was good. About 70% students in my batch got placed. The companies were generally startups and people got good salary packages. The placement process was easy and pleasant for everyone.
I paid Rs 40000 per semester which amounted to Rs 300000 in total including exam fees and registration fees. The money which I paid id worth it to whatever knowledge I received from the college. The teachers are very much concerned for their students.
My college life was the best days. It holds events and inter-college competitions and also inter department fests. The teachers, students and the support staff are very kind and humble. The location is very safe and is near to garia metro station.
Netaji Subhash Engineering College has the necessary infrastructure and equipment. Students are taught using the chalk and board theory. The classrooms are not that clean, benches stay somewhat in a proper state. The library has a good number of books. The food sold in canteens is hygienic but the price is too high.
I studied Bachelor of Business Administration and the quality of teaching was somewhat okay. Studying a management course in an engineering college, so cannot expect much from the college. Yes, the curriculum is updated and it includes the recent developments in the field.
The quality of placement was below average. Only a handful of students from my batch were hired by a few companies. However, the package was very low compared to industry standards. The average salary offered was 1.8 lacs. The placement officer was not cooperative.
The college was not at all value for money. I paid a total of Rs 350000 for my entire course. I did not get that much exposure to what I paid for. Though being an engineering college, I cannot expect more, but still, expected a good placement. Students look for colleges that provide good placements.
Campus life was very dull. Students were forced by departments to organize inter-college events and competitions. Students were not that much interested in co-curricular activities. The teachers hardly used to come to college, they only shared notes just before the exams. Yes, the location is safe and it can handle emergencies.
I would request students to look for other colleges if one is opting for a management course. There are a number of good colleges with low course fees in Kolkata.
Hello,
Choosing between RCC Institute of Information Technology (RCCIIT) and Netaji Subhash Engineering College (NSEC) for MCA depends on your priorities regarding attendance and placements.
1. Attendance:
While official policies at both institutions generally require 75% attendance, NSEC is typically perceived as being more lenient with attendance enforcement. This leniency could allow more flexibility for students managing internships or external activities. RCCIIT, being a government-aided institution, tends to be stricter regarding attendance to maintain academic discipline.
2. Placements:
RCCIIT has a slightly stronger reputation for placements, especially for MCA students. The college has better industry connections and companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys frequently recruit from its campus. RCCIIT’s alumni network in the IT industry also plays a crucial role in securing job opportunities. On the other hand, NSEC also has decent placement records, but its focus on core engineering streams might slightly impact the MCA-specific placement scenario.
In summary, if you prioritize flexibility in attendance, NSEC may be a better fit. However, for stronger placement opportunities, RCCIIT might be a wiser choice. It's important to visit both campuses and speak with current students to get real-time feedback.
Hope it helps !

Hello,
To get a clearer picture, let us consider both the cases :
Joining NSEC Now:
Waiting for Other Rounds:
Now based on your situation, my recommendations are :-
Based on your research and personal preferences, make an informed decision. If you are confident about getting a seat in one of your higher preference colleges in the next rounds, it might be worth waiting. Otherwise, securing a seat in CSE at NSEC could be a prudent choice.
Best of luck!
