Nova College of Engineering and Technology, Ibrahimpatnam (NCET) is a renowned institution with different engineering and management courses offered by the institution. The college follows merit-based admission regarding admitting students, whereby the bulk of the admission is based on accepting the scores of the state-level entrance examinations for various courses.
Postgraduate entry into M.Tech programmes is through the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET). AP PGECET 2025 is held on June 4-6, 2025. AP PGECET is important for aspirants to pursue various M.Tech specialisations in NCET. For diploma courses, the college accepts scores of the Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (AP POLYCET). Although the official dates for AP POLYCET 2025 are not out yet, it is usually conducted in May every year.
Application Process
Application to Nova College of Engineering and Technology, Ibrahimpatnam, varies depending on the course:
For B.Tech courses:
1. Appear for AP EAMCET examination.

1. Sitting for a corresponding MBA entrance test.
2. Passing the cutoff score.
3. Visiting the college's admission process for MBA.
4. Verification of documents and completion of admission formalities if selected.
Degree wise Admission Process
B.Tech: NCET offers various B.Tech programs like Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and some newer ones like Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. Admission is based on AP EAMCET scores. The college admits 120 seats in B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, while most other B.Tech programs have 60 seats each.
M.Tech: The college provides special M.Tech programs such as Structural Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Power Electronics and Drives, Machine Design, VLSI and Embedded Systems, and Computer Science and Engineering. The admission is done based on AP PGECET rankings. Every M.Tech course typically has 30 seats.
MBA: NCET offers an MBA program with a big intake of 180 seats. While specific admission details for MBA are not provided, it is likely on the basis of a state-level MBA entrance test or national-level tests like CAT.
Diploma: Diploma programs in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electronics and Communications Engineering are offered by the college. Admission is given based on AP POLYCET scores. The Diploma in Civil Engineering takes in 120 students, whereas other diploma programs take of 60 students.
