PM Polytechnic, Sonepat Admission Process
PM Polytechnic, Sonepat, is an AICTE-approved college providing different diploma engineering and technology courses. The college has a transparent and unbiased admission process for its nine diploma courses. PM Polytechnic's academic year starts in August-September with an admission cycle, and applications are typically accepted a few months earlier.
The institute uses two major modes of admission:
1. Academic Merit: 70% seats are reserved through All India Engineering Common Entrance Test (AIE CET). Up to 100% scholarship is provided to students on the basis of their performance in AIE CET 2021.
2. Management Quota: The rest 30% seats are given to merit students depending upon their performance. Also, PM Polytechnic keeps seats reserved for different categories according to government policies, such as Defense Service, BPL, SC & ST, Girl Students, Single Girl Child, Physically Challenged, Kashmiri Migrant, OBC, and EWS in General.
The minimum eligibility requirement for the majority of diploma courses is the successful completion of 10+2 with appropriate subjects. Specific requirements can differ based on the selected course.
Application Process
The process of application in PM Polytechnic, Sonepat is as follows:
1. AIE CET Route (70% seats):
- Get registered and sit for the All India Engineering Common Entrance Test (AIE CET).
- Clear the exam with a good rank.
- Apply in PM Polytechnic on the basis of AIE CET score.
- Wait for merit list release.
2. Management Quota Route (30% seats):
- Walk-in interview to PM Polytechnic.
- Submit academic records and other supporting documents.
- Go through the selection process based on academic merits.
Degree wise Admission Process
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering:
This course has 180 seats available with an aggregate fee of Rs 120,000. Admission is on the basis of AIE CET scores or merit for management quota seats.
Diploma in Electrical Engineering:
Having 120 seats, this course also has an aggregate fee of Rs 120,000. The admission process is the same as that of Mechanical Engineering.
Diploma in Civil Engineering:
With 120 seats available for Rs 120,000, the course admits students on the basis of AIE CET or management quota.
Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering:
There are 60 seats in this course. Admission is based on AIE CET or management quota.
Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering:
There are 60 seats in this program as well, and admission is by the regular AIE CET or management quota selection procedure.
Diploma in Automobile Engineering:
With 60 seats at Rs 120,000, admission is by performance in AIE CET or academic merit in the case of management quota.
Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering:
This specialized course has 60 seats and charges a fee of Rs 120,000. Admission takes place through the institute's regular process.
Diploma in Mechanical Tool and Die Engineering:
With 60 seats and a charge of Rs 120,000, this course is accepted by students through AIE CET or management quota.
Diploma in Medical Lab Technology:
This course provides 60 seats and has the same admissions process as other diplomas at PM Polytechnic.
