Good resources and facilities
College has a big and clean campus with well-structured buildings. Each department has separate labs and smart classrooms. The library is modern and contains many books, journals, and computers for students. Wi-Fi is available in hostels and some parts of the college. Hostels are well-managed with good food, clean bathrooms, and laundry facilities. There’s also a medical room on campus. The sports ground is large, and indoor games are encouraged too. Canteen food is tasty and affordable for most students.
Teaching staff is well-qualified and experienced. Most of the professors are very helpful and encourage students to ask doubts. They explain concepts using real-life examples which makes learning interesting. Some teachers also guide students with coding, design, and project work. They also motivate us to take part in technical events and workshops. The syllabus is well-designed and covers industry needs. Exams are conducted on time, and results are declared without delay. Overall, the faculty is very supportive and professional.
Placement record of the college is quite strong, especially for computer-related branches. Around 80% of eligible students are placed every year. Companies like Capgemini, IBM, Infosys, and even some startups visit the campus regularly. The highest salary package this year went up to 38 LPA, and the average is around 6 LPA. Students get placed in roles like software engineer, web developer, and business analyst. Many students also receive good internship offers. The placement cell conducts training sessions, mock interviews, and helps improve communication skills.
RNSIT is an underrated college with great ROI. It offers strong academics, good infrastructure, and excellent placements. Lack of marketing hides its potential, but consistent students can secure top offers.
Academics at RNSIT are strong and well-structured. Faculty is experienced and supportive, especially in CS/IS branches. Curriculum blends theory and practicals, helping students build solid technical skills.
RNSIT offers excellent placements with top companies like Infosys, Accenture, and Amazon. Average packages range from 5–8 LPA, with some reaching 20+ LPA. ROI is great for the fee structure and many
RNSIT provides great value for money with quality education, solid placements, and reasonable fees. The returns in terms of career opportunities outweigh the investment, making it a smart choice for students.
Campus life at RNSIT is balanced with academics and events. Fests like Pantheon add fun, while the peaceful environment supports focused study. Rules are strict, but the friendly student community keeps it lively.
Overall, RNSIT is a great choice with strong academics, excellent placements, good infrastructure, and high ROI. Though less known, it delivers quality education and career growth, making it worth considering.
The college has a very good infrastructure. There is a temple on campus. Hostels are available on campus. There are different buildings for different courses. Wi-Fi is available. A computer lab, chemistry lab, and mechanical lab are available. There is also a huge library. The facilities available in hostels are not so good. There are many restrictions.
The teachers here are quite supportive and qualified. They prepare you well enough for exams and internals. Most of them are really friendly and encouraging. They give out study materials and papers well in advance. Even the teaching in classroom is great and might endup not needing notes from teachers.
This year we had almost 80% of student placed. Top recruiters are IT companies from india and many foreign companies. Even internship opportunities were good in number and most of them with a decent CGPA got job offers. The roles that were offered varied from software developer to testing roles. Even core companies were quite a handful this year and they ask for a bond for 1-2 years. Also the college has a tie ups with different testing platforms like Cocubes, elitmus and bizotic.
In each classroom, charging points and Wi-Fi are provided for students. The college's new library is superb; it is provided with Wi-Fi and has a very large space. Hostel life is one of the best experiences of these four years of engineering life at RNSIT. There is also a temple on the college campus. The food for the hostel is being served by Sodexo people, and GATE timings are not friendly. It closes at 8.30 p.m., which is too early.
Lecturers are very friendly; they help us with problems we face, they give us considerate marks, they are good faculty for this department, and they are easily approachable anywhere outside the classroom as well. They encourage us to score well and provide us with good materials to study.
According to the placement department, most of the students (around 80%) have been placed depending upon the CTC. It includes the oncampus as well as ofcampus data though. The top courses are ISE, CSE and ECE. Students who get the placement offer are also offered internships. The top companies that came are as follows Mercedes Benz, Wipro, TCS, Infoys, Capgemini, Nokia, Texas Instruments, Zscaler, HashedIn, Impress, Trilogy Innovations.
Facilities are good, especially the library; it is the main source of attraction on the campus. Wi-Fi is there, labs are well maintained. Classrooms are good, but in some buildings, there are very few facilities. There are 2 sports grounds, one for cricket, kabaddi, and athletics, while another is for football and volleyball. One basketball court and 4 badminton courts are also there.
Faculty members in our college are well versed in teaching except few who don't even know ABC of their subjects. Internals will be held once in a month. They actually train us very well for semester exams by conducting internals for 50 marks in 1 and half hour so that we get practiced writing. Pass percentage is almost 98+ and results are actually outstanding. Every sem almost one or the other will be in vtu rank.
Coming to placements in our department, many students are placed in good companies till date, unfortunate this year placements is not so good but compared to all other branches except CSE our branch is good. The highest package in our department is 14.8LPA last year and 2024 batch the highest package is 11.5LPA. Apart from curriculum our department organises workshops and hackathons. Placement percentage is above 90% and some of the top recruitment companies are Adobe, TCS, Wipro etc.
The infrastructure is good, mainly the library, which is equipped with good books to study and an open area for different areas to do separate work. The library has fast Wi-Fi and is equipped with computers so people can come and work and there is a discussion hall so that people can come and discuss.
Some teachers are really helpful and friendly to approach, while other teachers are extremely strict and hard on you. They eventually make the students industry-ready for placements by providing training for interviews and aptitude classes. The college exams are moderately difficult, but the notes given are better than in most other colleges. The college just focuses on academics more than other activities, and there is very little flexibility given for exams.
Last year, the average package was 8 lpa across all the branches. The highest package was 55 lpa in the CSE stream. The placement percentage was 80%. Placement training is given in the second year. Big companies like Amazon and Adobe. This year, the highest package was 27 LPA, and the placement is still ongoing.
Good, All departments have their own individual building this making it more spacious. The college boasts a well-maintained infrastructure with modern classrooms equipped with smart boards, a spacious and well-stocked library, dedicated labs for each department featuring updated equipment, and a large, well-maintained sports ground, providing ample opportunities for both academic pursuits and extracurricular activities
Good a comprehensive evaluation of a specific academic program, assessing its curriculum, faculty quality, student learning outcomes, facilities, and overall effectiveness, often with specific data points and recommendations for improvement, including strengths, weaknesses, and areas for further development; it could also include feedback from students, alumni, and industry partners regarding the program's relevance and preparedness for the job market
Good The dedicated staff organized regular mock interviews, workshops on resume writing, and facilitated interactions with top companies, ensuring we were well-prepared for the job market. I am truly grateful for the opportunities and mentorship received
I can confidently say it's an excellent value for money. The quality of education provided by highly experienced professors, coupled with modern facilities and a supportive learning environment, far outweighs the cost of tuition. The robust career services and strong industry connections have helped me secure multiple internship opportunities, ensuring I graduate with practical experience and a competitive edge in the job market.".
Academic rigor, vibrant community engagement, and incredible personal growth. The professors were highly knowledgeable and passionate, creating a stimulating learning environment. The diverse student body fostered meaningful connections and broadened my perspectives. The campus itself was beautiful and offered a variety of facilities for extracurricular activities, allowing me to explore interests beyond the classroom. While the workload could be demanding at times, the support system from faculty and peers helped me navigate challenges and excel in my studies. Overall, I highly recommend RNS Institute of Technology (RNSIT) to anyone seeking a well-rounded college experience with opportunities to thrive both academically and personally.

If you want to take chance for pes university and dayanand sagar of engineering you should wait till the further counselling process but remember it is not sure that you will get these colleges as this depends on various factors.

Hi NIkhil,
I hope you're doing well!
Choosing between CSE at RNSIT and CSBS at Nitte Meenakshi really depends on what you're looking for in your studies and career goals. CSE at RNSIT might offer a broader and more traditional computer science curriculum, while CSBS at Nitte Meenakshi could provide a more specialized focus if you're interested in combining computer science with business studies.
If you have specific interests or career goals, that might help guide your decision. Both are good options, so consider what aligns best with your aspirations.
