RTE Society's Rural Polytechnic, Hulkoti Admission Process
Rural Polytechnic, Hulkoti, under RTE Society, opens its doors to technical education in Gadag, Karnataka since its inception in the year 1980. The polytechnic is well known for its three diploma programs and quality education with a caring attitude of the dedicated faculty. The admission process is made simple and hassle-free for aspiring candidates at the RTE Society's Rural Polytechnic.
Normally, the Polytechnic opens admissions for the academic year in the months of August-September. The dates usually differ each year and aspiring students can prepare for applications earlier on. The Diploma applications are directly received by the polytechnic and selection is merit based.
The candidate must have passed 10th standard or any equivalent examination from any recognized board to seek admission into RTE Society's Rural Polytechnic, Hulkoti. The marks obtained by a candidate in the qualifying examination will be considered by the Polytechnic for admission.

Degree-wise Admission Procedures
Diploma in Electronic and Communication Engineering: 45 seats are available in this programme, which equips students with a sound basic understanding of electronic and communication systems. It is on merit based upon the marks of the candidate in 10th standard but gives importance to the performance in Mathematics and Science.
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: This is a course of 45 students and takes in aspiring students as candidates for future mechanical engineers. Admission in this program will consider the academic performance of Type A candidates that they had in their 10th standards particularly in Mathematics and Science. Students who have proven excellence in mechanical concepts are encouraged to apply.
Degree in Textile Technology: This pretty offbeat program has 45 seats too. Admissions are on merit cum candidate's 10th standard marks. Students perceived to be specialized inclined with the manufacture and technology of textiles would fit well with this particular course owing to the nature of the course.
