Computer Science Engineering is a course that deals with design, implementation, and management of information systems of both software & hardware processes. A computer scientist specializes in theory of computation and design of computational systems. Computer Science engineering aids with various disciplines such as electrical and electronics engineering , information technology , software engineering , and more.

Computer Science Engineering courses are offered at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the form of B.E, B.Tech, or M.Tech degree programmes.

Eligibility Criteria for UG Course:

The eligibility criteria for computer science UG Course B.E or B.Tech varies for different universities. Some universities provide admission on the basis of merit obtained from a 10+2 score while others follow entrance exam screening criteria to evaluate students’ candidature. However, students can find the common eligibility rules for computer science courses such as B.E or B.Tech below:

• Candidates must have successfully completed 10+2 with a minimum of 50 percent marks from physics, chemistry, and mathematics as compulsory subjects. (75 percent marks in 10+2 in case of NITs , IITs , and GFTIs)

• Candidates must have successfully cleared the entrance examination required by the university they want admission to.

• Candidates who successfully pass the entrance exam must participate in the counselling for admission to various B.Tech or B.E degree programmes specialising in computer science.

Entrance such as JEE MAINS, BITSAT etc.

Candidates have various career options after completing computer science engineering courses. Candidates can find employment in various sectors of the computer science industry such as IT, telecommunication, database management, multimedia, android development, web development, gaming, UI and UX designing , embedded systems, and more.

For JEE-Main 2022 application there is no any requirement of domicile certificate but during JOSAA counselling when you will have to get advantage of state quota then you will have to submit the valid domicile certificate. For now there is no requirement of it.

JEE-Main 2022 application forms have been released by National Testing Agency and the application process will continues up to March 31st (till 5:00 PM only) and the payment of application fee is allowed till 31st March, 2022 (up to 11:30 PM).

Application process for JEE-Main 2022 :-

Yes you can appear for NEET 2023 though you complete your 12 th standard in 2022 if you meet the eligibility criteria.

To appear for NEET UG examination you must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam in science stream with Chemistry, Physics and Biology subjects from a recognised Board or College.

Also, you must have minimum 17 years age as on 31st December, 2023 to appear for NEET 2023.

WBJEE examination which is scheduled to take place on 23rd of April is the biggest entrance examination to entry into engineering colleges of West Bengal. The examination will consist of two papers and 2 hours would be provided for each of them. Paper 1 is mathematics and Paper 2 is physics and chemistry the format for which is mentioned below:

• Physics - 40 questions

• Chemistry - 40 questions

• Mathematics - 75 questions

Now the examination would be held in multiple choice format and it completely depends upon candidate on how they want to attempt the questions. for example it is certainly possible that you could skip the category 1 type of questions to directly skip into category 2 or 3. It is is certainly advisable not to attempt those question which you do not know because it would lead to negative marking. The complete marking scheme is given below

Marking Scheme	Category 1 - Each correct answer will be awarded one mark. Category 2 - For every correct response, two marks will be given by the candidates.
Negative Marking	Category 1 - Incorrect response will yield a loss of ¼ mark Category 2 - For each incorrect answer, ½ mark will be deducted. Category 3 - There is no negative marking.
