SDMCET Dharwad Facilities

SDM College of Engineering and Technology Dharwad offers many facilities to the students, faculty and staff. SDMCET Dharwad facilities include residential facilities, medical facilities, cafeteria, auditorium, and many other facilities. The college provides separate hostels for boys and girls. The library of the college provides students with many academic resources to help them with their studies. 

SDM College of Engineering and Technology Dharwad facilities also includes various sports infrastructure. A gymnasium is also present on campus. The college also has a cafeteria that provides healthy and nutritious meals to the students, faculty and staff. The college has a health centre for medical assistance. Transport facilities are also provided by the college.

  • Boys Hostel

    There are three hostels for boys on campus. All basic facilities are provided to the students. The hostels have furnished rooms. Bed, mattresses, wardrobes, study tables with chairs are provided in each room. CCTV cameras are placed at the entrance of each hostel.

  • Girls Hostel

    There are two hostels for girls on campus. The common areas of the hostels are Wi-Fi enabled and the hostels are equipped with solar water heaters. A three-tier 24 hours security system.

  • Medical/Hospital

    The college has a health centre which caters to all the medical needs of the students and staff.

  • Gym

    The college has well-equipped gym facilities for the students.

  • Library

    SDM College of Engineering and Technology Dharwad facilities include a library. The library has more than 2000 Bound volumes of journals, 2500 CDs & DVDs and IS standards. Online services are also provided by the college. More than 60,000 books are available in the college library. The library is automated by using EASYLIB-Library management software.

  • Sports

    SDMCET Dharwad provides a large number of sports facilities to the students. This includes fields and grounds for various indoor and outdoor games. Courts for cricket, archery, kabaddi, netball, hockey, football, volleyball, etc are available. Indoor sports facilities include - table tennis, carrom, badminton, chess, etc.

  • I.T Infrastructure

    The college has the latest and modern IT infrastructure facilities.

  • Cafeteria

    The cafeteria of the college provides meals to the students, faculty and staff.

  • Auditorium

    The college auditorium is used by the students and faculty to conduct various activities and functions.

  • Transport Facility

    Transport facilities are provided by SDM College of Engineering and Technology Dharwad.

    The college has a good networking for alumni association.

SDM is located in Dharwad,Karnataka.It is not known to many people but it is a very good college.It has a good campus area neither too large nor small .Theres also a sports complex and different section are divided for different branch.

I scored 37000 in the COMEDK exam. Can I get admission to SDMCET, Dharwad, CSE course in the 2nd and 3rd rounds?

Hii,

With a COMEDK rank of 37,000, getting into CSE at SDMCET Dharwad may not be possible in the 1st round, as CSE is one of the most competitive branches and usually closes at a much lower rank often under 20,000. However, don’t lose hope! In the 2nd and especially the 3rd round, there’s a slight chance if seats remain vacant or if some higher-ranked candidates withdraw. These later rounds often see slight rank relaxation, so it's definitely worth participating in them.

Also, keep an eye on other branches like ECE or ISE, which might have higher cutoff ranks and still offer good placement opportunities. You can also check out similar colleges under COMEDK where the CSE cutoff goes higher.
