Shri Ram Polytechnic Muzaffarnagar is one of the engineering polytechnic colleges affiliated with the Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh (BTE UP) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The polytechnic college offers diploma courses in many engineering disciplines to meet the growing demand for technical education in the region.

Shri Ram Polytechnic primarily admissions students according to the State Entrance Examination conducted by BTE UP. For admission in various diploma programmes, students aspires. The college has counseling-based admission process whereby the candidate is allotted a seat based on the performance in the entrance examination and his/her preference.

Diploma in Civil Engineering: The approved intake for this course is 180 seats. Shri Ram Polytechnic Muzaffarnagar admission is made through counseling conducted after the State Entrance Examination by BTE UP. Candidates must also qualify for the 10th standard with at least 35% marks.
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: This course is similar to Civil Engineering, with the difference being an intake capacity of 120 for the current session. Shri Ram Polytechnic Muzaffarnagar admission process also requires taking the State Entrance Exam before attending counseling.
Diploma in Electrical Engineering: The programme has an intake of 120 and follows the same admission process through the State Entrance Exam and counseling. Eligibility requirement is the same; hence remains as for the other diploma courses.
Diploma in Mechanical Automobile Engineering: Such a specialised programme has an annual intake of 120 students. Shri Ram Polytechnic Muzaffarnagar admission is similarly done as with the other diploma courses where candidates must qualify the State Entrance Exam.
Diploma in Computer Science Engineering: Number of seats: 60. Same as the standard admission protocols in counseling after State Entrance Examination.
Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering: Also with 60 seats, this programme admits students through the State Entrance Examination and counseling intake.
