SIT is a better choice for cse as it is one of the top 100 engineering colleges in the country. It is a strict college but has a very good learning environment. The infrastructure and placements are good and better than most other colleges but that purely depends on your placement performance

Hi aspirant
Based on your rank, as per the previous year cut-offs, you can get admission in some branches at Sir M Visvesvarya Institute of Technology and Siddaganga Institute of Technology. At Sir M Visvesvarya Institute of Technology, you can expect courses like Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc. and at Siddaganga Institute of Technology, you have chances of getting courses like Telecommunication Engineering, Chemical Engineering, etc.
Hello lokesh,
You have got a good rank if you belong to reservation quota. You are within the least rank required to get into any branch in SIT ( cut off for all the branches is above 24k in 2018) so you hold a good chance to get into SIT.
Talking about pes South campus, cut off starts from 28k in 2018. So you have possibilities in getting a seat there too. Good luck!
Hello aspirant, you have chances of getting ISE branch in Siddaganga Institute of Technology the previous years cutoff was 14670. It's difficult to get CSE seat in DSCE college for your rank as the cutoff is 3905 in 2017.

Hey buddy,
Institutions that you have mentioned are reputed institutions. Both of them are good for BTech CSE.However if you choose your career towards CSE then institutions doesn't matter becoming a skillfull person is fully your responsibility.Economically NIE is better.

Hello Anupama!
Considering your rank and previous years statistics if you belong to the following categories, then you can get computer science engineering or ISE in siddaganga Institute of technology, tumkur.
1)1K
2)1R
3)SCG
4)SCR
5)STG
If you belong to any other category but i am sorry but you cannot get a seat.
Hi,
Let me just start off with saying SIT is no IIT/NIT, it is an average private college and should be judged like one, so people comparing it with those colleges are just comparing wrong things. That being said it is one of the good ones in its own domain as far as the studies and the atmosphere goes.
Studies : SIT doesn’t like to make your studies easy. Mandatory 85% attendance in all subjects or you fail. Teachers are okay, some know what they’re doing most don’t (but from what i hear this is the case in every college). But the college makes you study even if you don’t want to, and you’ll appreciate it later. I know i do.
Make a decision on the basis of the above points for Siddaganga Institute of Technology
Wi-Fi facility is available throughout the campus and classrooms are good. In a single classroom, there are around 60 -70 students. The canteen is near the computer science building and the food quality is average. If you come from a sports background then you have a good opportunity. It's recommended college.
The infrastructure of our college is good, but the hostel is mid-range, the food quality is not good, and only 1 Wi-Fi is available for 8 to 1-bedroom rooms. Labs and classrooms are good. The whole college has Wi-Fi-enabled labs that are good with air conditioning systems. In some labs, computers are old, and in others, they are very new, but all did the job.
Facilities available in my department are well and good. Classrooms are well maintained, computers are updated on date, and Wi-Fi works well. Coming to the hostel, the facilities are below average. No proper infrastructure, no proper maintenance, rooms are very old, no renovation, bathrooms are very poorly maintained, and it's hard for girls to survive there. The food menu changes every week in the hostel. The food taste and maintenance in the hostel are below average.
