Yes medical students do get stipend during their PG course. The government has decided to hike the stipend paid to PG medical students from the 2019-20 academic year onwards. As per information from a Department of Medical Education official, the stipend will be increased by Rs 5,000 to 10,000 per month .

The stipend for MD/ MS courses in All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi is around Rs. 90,000 per month . The amount ranges from 9.4 k to 10.02 k during the course.
