Swami Vivekanand Government Commerce College, Ratlam, is one of the top educational colleges in Madhya Pradesh. The institution boasts a very uncomplicated and student-oriented procedure for getting admitted into the various commerce and management courses. Since it is a government college, the organization largely depends on merit-based admissions to admit students, giving equal opportunities to all.

Prospective students must meet the eligibility standards laid down by the college and the affiliating university. For UG courses like B.Com and BBA, students must pass 10+2 with a recognized board. For the M.Com course, the candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in the same subject. Marks obtained in the entrance test are accorded importance by the college as the only admission criterion.

Application Process

Application process of Swami Vivekanand Government Commerce College, Ratlam, usually follows the following procedure:

1. Notification: The college publishes admission notification on its website along with the local newspapers for advertising students about the commencement of the application procedure.

Degree wise Admission Procedure

The college offers three specializations, namely, B.Com (General), B.Com Computer Applications, and B.Com Foreign Trade Practice and Procedures. Admission to these courses is based on the merit list prepared with regard to 12th standard marks. Preference is accorded to candidates who pursued Commerce or allied courses at the 10+2 level.

BBA: For BBA course for Bachelor of Business Administration, the college considers the marks of 12th standard while preparing the merit list. Students from any stream (Science, Commerce, or Arts) can apply for this course, but Commerce or Mathematics background students may have an advantage.

M.Com: Admission to the Master of Commerce course is made on the basis of marks obtained in the bachelor's degree. B.Com degree holders are given preference, but students with other related degrees are also considered if they fulfill the guidelines set by the university.
