Women's College, Shillong opened its doors in a very highly acclaimed way and proved its mettle as a committed institution in providing quality education to the young women of Meghalaya. The college is affiliated to the North-Eastern Hill University for under-graduate programs in arts and social sciences. At the Women's College, Shillong, the admissions recognized nurturing the capabilities and talents of female students and hence are open and non-discriminatory. The general exercise of the admission to the new academic year at the college begins a few months after the declaration of the 10+2 results.  Essentially, admission eligibility criteria into Women's College, Shillong include a 10+2 or similar examination conducted by a recognized board of education. Degree wise Admission Process

BA Courses: Several BA programs are available at your choice at the college from Sociology, Philosophy, Political Science, History, Economics, English, and Anthropology. For the selections, these are based on the marks obtained from the 10+2 exam. Here, the students should have done their 10 + 2 exams with relevant subjects to the BA course they have chosen.

BSW (Bachelor of Social Work): A Bachelors in Social Work is available for study at the college. It is again the same as BA program admission and takes into consideration the 10+2 marks. It trains students who wish to work for social welfare and development.

BA Education (Honours): Candidates applying for this program should complete their 10+2 from an accredited institution with appropriate passing grades. The selection process may also consider scores attained in the 10+2 examination of forthcoming subjects.
