Comparing rank wise College then I would suggest iit bombay stands first rather than roorkee ,but as a field of engineering I would suggest it be totally your choice.Thank you.

Hey,

Both the colleges are very good, and studying from them will make you very good in the subject matter. Now coming to what should you prefer is completely your chooice. I would just review you the opportunities you get in each college and  their scope.

Metallurgy deals with extraction of minerals and ores, so clearly you get lots of opportunities in the job section, like in CCL, and different extraction sites, you also get huge pay once you are experienced.

Chemical deals with chemical products like petroleum mainly their extraction, etc, and lots of other things, again its a great branch and you get wide opportunitues in core commpanies. Now it depends on you what suits your interest.

Thanks for contacting CAREERS360

Hello pranjal, it totally depends upon your interest. If you are okay in doing metallurgy then go for it and if you are interested in doing chemical engg then choose chemical engg. Don't take any decision on the basis of the college you are getting because eventually your love, interest for your chosen field of engg will keep you on the track throughout your b.tech as we all know doing engg is not a cakewalk.
