The college is beautiful with many plants. The campus is really big and present around hills . The classrooms also have air conditioner which is a good thing in summers. There are many labs with latest equipments. There is military camp also. The hostel is also very good and present inside the campus only. The whole college has wifi and teachers use projectors to teach . The library is also very big and have lots of books. The college is clean and has many canteens with tasty food .
Academics is good . The teachers are really helpful and supportive. The curriculum is also good and they teach us everything that is required in our field. There are workshops every semester to improve our communication and behavioural skills. The college also conducts Study Abroad Programme where the students are taken to colleges outside India.
After bachelors the average salary u can get is 2-3 L and 60-70% student get placed and the remaining go for further studies . The placement system is easy . And the faculty guide us throughout the process.
Bsc biotechnology fee is 1.6L per annum. The course is really good. And our department is really good . They have amazing faculty and students in our department.
Campus life is okayish as there are many rules but we have fest twice an year which are the best part of college. The location is a bit secluded from the city . The campus is somewhat safe but if you go outside the campus boundary specially if you are a girl it might not be safe as the colleges is present near a village.
The infrastructure of the college is really good. It is present outside the city so have a big campus with lot of greenery. There are hostel inside the campus only with lot of security. Since the college is military based so it is guarded by martials. It also has a sports complex and military camp training. The central library of the college is its main charm. There are also separate library for law students and architecture students. There are 6 different canteens with different kind of good food
I am studying biotechnology and has a plan of doing masters in genetics from abroad. Our department ie. AIB ( amity institute of biotechnology) is really good and disciplined .The faculty of biotech department is really good. They tell us about all the latest thing going on in our field and infact companies also visit us to tell us about latest lab techniques. There are also behavior and communication skills workshop to develop our personality. There are Study Abroad Programmes also.
Placements are good but for better chances, we have to go to Amity, Noida. I think the placement rate is around 40%-50%. Rest of the people go for higher education and government sector jobs. Placement is all online organised and pretty good to handle and we get to know about who is coming and the eligibility criteria.
The fees of doing BSc. biotechnology hons. is approximately 1.62 L per annum. But the fees we are giving is worth it because the quality of education we are getting is really good. The teachers are always there to guide us and the equipments present in the labs are really good. Along with academics they also help to improve your personality which is also an inportant aspect of career and life.
The campus life is good. You can enjoy as much as you wany inside the campus but once you go out of the campus in middle of the day you cant comeback inside due to security reasons which is good. The college organizes DJ night every month and also different workshops and functions to entertain the hostellers. The campus have very coperative teachers and staff and infact most of the faculty live in hostel which is good for hostellers . The location is safe and have medical facilities also.
You will really like the college and even if you are coming from some different states or even different country , you will feel really safe and at home in the college.
Dear Sadaf,
Yes I mean Amity University (especially Noida campus) offers decent LLB placements of Rs 5-6 LPA and top firms like Deloitte and Khaitan & Co recruiting.
Kolkata campus has lower placements. Good for private law college, but NLUs are better.
Ok then BEST OF LUCK!!!
Hi Aspirant
Amity University offers admission to BTech programs through two major pathways which are the Amity Joint Entrance Exam and JEE Main score submission The rank needed in JEE Main to secure a seat in Amity depends on several key factors including the year of admission the demand for the course the campus you choose and your category status such as General OBC SC or ST
In general Amity University is known for offering flexible admission policies and also has its own entrance exam for students who may not have a competitive rank in JEE Main However for students applying through JEE Main the university does consider your rank and percentile as part of their selection process especially for popular courses like Computer Science Engineering Electronics and Communication Engineering and Information Technology
For the General category candidates a rank within the range of fifteen thousand to forty thousand in JEE Main is typically competitive for getting admission into high demand courses at the Noida campus This range is considered good enough to be eligible for merit scholarships as well The higher your rank the better your chances of securing a seat in core branches like Computer Science
For OBC category students the acceptable rank can go up to fifty thousand or slightly higher depending on the course and campus chosen Students from the SC and ST categories have additional relaxation in admission criteria and may secure admission even with a rank up to sixty five thousand or more for some branches and campuses
Students applying under the EWS category usually fall under similar consideration as the OBC group and a rank under fifty thousand may be sufficient for certain courses although more competitive branches like Computer Science still require better scores
Another important point is the availability of scholarships which is directly linked to your JEE percentile Students with ninety percentiles and above in JEE Main are often considered for tuition fee waivers ranging from twenty five to one hundred percent based on the percentile achieved The scholarship can be a major deciding factor for students and makes a strong JEE score valuable even if you are admitted without it being strictly required
Besides JEE rank students can also gain admission through their class twelve marks with an eligibility requirement of at least sixty percent aggregate in Physics Chemistry and Mathematics Some campuses and branches may require higher cutoffs depending on the demand
Amity also considers extracurricular activities and personal interviews for final admission decisions in some cases This means that even if a student's JEE rank is not very high they may still be offered a seat based on overall profile
In case you do not meet the cutoff for your desired branch in the first round it is advisable to consider applying for newer or related branches like Artificial Intelligence or Internet of Things as they usually have slightly lower cutoff ranks but are still in high demand.
