48 MonthsBachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering is a full-time four-year course degree offered by Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science, Chennai.
Pass in (10+2) or equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Maths, Physics, & Chemistry. Any other examination of any university or authority accepted by this University as equivalent of plus two.
For Lateral Entry:
Diploma in the appropriate branch of Engg./ Tech / B.Sc. (with Mathematics as a subject). Average 50% in final year of study. The candidate shall have not completed 21 years of age as on first of July of the year of application.
Admissions are done on the basis of Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science entrance test (HITSEEE).
The infrastructure of the college is good enough. All the core engineering departments have a pretty good infrastructure to work with. The laboratories are worth mentioning, this is the best part of the campus. Especially for the Aeronautical engineering students, they are lucky enough to have a real time working simulator worth of 3cr(approx in INR), along with a working Chopper. And 5 Air Crafts in the Air Craft Bay. Not to forget that there is Motorsporte hub in the campus.
