Hey anjali,
you have a lot of time for the logical reasoning and aptitude syllabus of the exam. It can be completed within 6 to 8 months. But you should start focusing on the GK part and start preparing for it as soon as possible. The more time you give to GK and current affairs the more chances you will have of clearing the exam. Also start preparing for the rest of the syllabus in the 2nd or 3rd year of college.
All the best!!
Hello Aditya...your marks doesn't matter if you wanna take admission in iift ..there are mainly three steps...
1.written test(iift exam)
After clearing this exam you moved to point 2
2.Essay writing
3. GD or personal interviews
If you wanna know about it more...then you may again put your query in carrer360... thank you for asking!
Hi Ani,
First of all, since marks and cutoffs are a very relative topic and you cannot actually predict the expected results with accuracy, therefore, the following figures too are just speculations, so please consider it likewise.
However, for your reference I am giving you the expected, category wise cutoffs -
1. General - 35.50
2. OBC - 30.50
3. SC - 20.02
4. ST - 22.69
5. PH - 23.69
I hope this helps you and all the very best!
Hi Manasa Raj,
No, you dont need to separately apply for IIFT college.
Hey!
The allot on the basis of overall performance like first 160 gets into IIFT, Delhi and next 150 goes to IIFT, Kolkata. Plus, Kakinada hasn't opened up yet. So, in case you get IIFT, Delhi you can shift to IIFT, Kolkata. As it's ranked number two, whereas if you get IIFT, Kolkata then you can't shift to IIFT, Delhi. I hope it clarifies your doubt. Best wishes for IIFT.
Hi,
You can check previous year's IIFT cutoff for OBC category at https://bschool.careers360.com/articles/iift-cutoff.
I hope it helps!
Hey.....
Well again it's a personal choice but the priority for majority of students has been IIFT Delhi then IITF Kolkata and then the last one. The one reason may be that the Delhi campus is 43 year older than one in Kolkata. Else all the things are same in all three IIFT
IIFT possesses facilities of international caliber that provide an excellent learning ambience to its MBA students. The classrooms are equipped, air-conditioned, and equipped with stat of the art audio visual pedagogy facilities for case-study-based and collaborative learning.
Indian Institute of Foreign Trade can enjoy nature's beauty in the campus. campus has many facilities like well maintained Gymnasium. You can find Organic Farming facilities and Rain water harvesting facilities also. Mess food is also good. The only problem is transportation, you can't Find Ola, Uber etc. Only Private cars arranged by nearby shops are available which is costly. But if you have your own automobile then you are at safe side.
The college has all the requiredinfrastructure relating to education present. This includes smart classes, tech enabled library, portals such as Bloomberg for research, a finance lab, conference halls, auditorium, and the like. The class are air conditioned and the entire college is WIFI enabled. The hostels are cleaned regularly and the food provided is nutritious and good at taste.
