UPES MA Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked #46 Among Universities in India by NIRF | 1950+ Students Placed 91% Placement, 590+ Recruiters
1.) Placements
Lot of people brag about the placement. But the truth is that getting a placement is not so easy in jamia. After having worked in the PlaceCom I know how difficult it was at my time to get the students placed.
2.)Curriculum
No doubt we have the best curriculum ,and some of the best professors of the country. Having said this it would be wrong if I dont mention you about its flip side. I know lot of professors who wont even bother to check your paper at all and will give you grades on the basis of the kind of impression who have on them. (dont know whether it happens in other colleges also or not.)One of my senior was given an F grade because he had a bad impression on the professor, finally he had to put an RTI for getting his true marks. RTI showed that he had actually passed.
3.)Library and infrastructure
We have an excellent collection of books in our library..infrastructure is also good but it could have been better considering it a centralised university. Labs that we have here is outdated with someof the machines not working at all its a government college the flow of funds are not so quick and easy.
4.) ROI(Return on Investment)
As the college fees is too low..Jamia appears to be the best deal for students.Being in a centralized university has its own advantage, there are some places where the tag of being in jamia will actually work in your favour.
5.) College Fest
We have lot of societies in Jamia. When I say lot i do me lot...!! IEEE,SAE,ASME,CSI etc and each society has its own fest.Hence there are lot of things that keeps going on the campus, you will find lot of opportunity for hosting, coordinating ,volunteering in events

Firstly there is no separate reservation for Muslims in nits or gftis i.e. for jee mains. Only iits I.e. in jee advanced there is reservation for minority groups including Muslims. So you don't have any quota. According to your rank you may get nit sikkim, Mizoram, Manipur and Nagaland but chances are very less. So try for gftis
Hello Aryan,
for non-muslim category: a marks above 200 is very much desirable for JMI in BArch, if you have marks around 170-200, you may make it to the 1st or 2nd counselling list.
for muslim category: around 150 is enough to be in a safe spot.
Last year's cutoff were:
Gen non-muslim: 200
Muslim 180
Muslim OBC/ST 170
MUSLIM WOMEN 160
JAMIA INTERNAL 140
PWD 127
Kashmiri Migrant 180
Hope this helps

The campus was not at all maintained well. The basic facilities were there but in bad condition, the expectations that i had from he campus were not fulfilled as the delhi univeristy campus was better.
Jamia's science department is also in good condition. Wi-Fi connectivity is available in the majority of the campus areas, such as the library and laboratories. The hostel facilities are clean and good, and students are provided with four meals a day breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner. There are laundry and medical facilities available, too, and function effectively.
colleges infrastructure is fabulous and JMI is built on 2 sides of the road . JMI has one of the biggest library which is Dr Zakir hussain library. the campus is clean and all classes are well equipped with projectors which makes it easy for us to understand concepts . also there is a fighter jet in the engineering department
