Hello

With 84 percentile in MHT CET under the SC category, you have a fair chance at decent engineering colleges in Maharashtra.
Reserved category cutoffs are usually lower, so you might get branches like Mechanical, Civil, or IT in good institutes.
Top branches in top colleges may be tough, but many mid-tier colleges remain open at this percentile.
Keep checking CAP rounds and be ready for sudden movement in the final lists.

As you are from Army quota and scored 25 percentile in MHT CET , your chances improve compared to general merit students, especially for institutes under the Defence category reservation.Your chances of getting qualified for top-tier colleges may be a little tough, like COEP or VJTI, but you can still get admission in good autonomous or private engineering colleges in Maharashtra.
Some colleges where your quota might help:
  • MIT-WPU, Pune (has a defence quota seat pool)
  • D.Y. Patil College of Engineering, Akurdi
  • Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCOE)
  • Army Institute of Technology (AIT), Pune – check eligibility as it’s specifically for wards of Army personnel
  • Sinhgad College of Engineering, Pune

Look for colleges with institute-level or vacant seats in the CAP rounds Army quota is often underutilized and can work in your favor.
Also, consider applying for the management quota if you don’t get through the CAP rounds, and ensure your documents related to army service are verified properly.
Wishing you success!

The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, mandates that persons with benchmark disabilities (40% or more) are entitled to benefits like reservation in higher education.

While a 68 CET score is relevant, the specific cutoff for admission will vary depending on the competition and the number of seats available in the chosen MD program.

Many institutions, especially those with PG courses, have specific quotas for candidates with disabilities. For example, AIIMS has a 5% reservation for candidates with benchmark disabilities for PG courses.

Candidates will need to provide a valid disability certificate issued by a competent authority.

Thank you!!

students with an annual family income between INR 1 lakh and INR 8 lakh might be eligible for a freeship, covering 100% of tuition and exam fees. While your landholding might affect your family's income and thus your scholarship eligibility, the direct impact information is provided by university where you take admission.

It is recommended to check specific scheme guidelines or connect with a college for more detailed information regarding your particular situation. Having a 45 percentile in MHT CET is considered a low score and may affect your college choices, but various scholarship programs aim to reduce the financial burden of higher education for eligible OBC students.

Thanks for reaching out. Scoring 43 percentile in MHT CET might me low , so getting into top engineering colleges may be difficult, especially in core branches like CS or IT. However, don’t worry you still have options in private or semi-private colleges.Based on recent years, with 43 percentile, you can not make it to the CAP rounds for top government colleges, but some colleges you can still look at include:
  • Jayawantrao Sawant College of Engineering, Pune
  • Trinity College of Engineering, Pune
  • Sanjeevan Engineering College, Kolhapur
Also, you can explore branches other than CS/IT, like Civil, Mechanical, or Electronics, where cutoffs are usually lower. You may also try for admission through the institute-level quota or management quota in private colleges. Keep checking the CAP Round seat allotments—sometimes there are seats vacant in the later rounds.
Wishing you good luck,

Friend get 80 percent in nursing CET but haven't mentioned any name in merit list, this maybe happen for many reason, sometime cut off high, sometimes category not match, sometimes document or form not right, so have to check all thing again, even little mistake in form can make issue, or maybe seat less and many student apply, need to wait for second round or try for private college

1, Cut off maybe high this year

2, Category or quota not match

3, Seat in state maybe full

4, Form maybe not filled correctly

5, Wait for next list or go for other college

If you got 40 percentile in MHT CET in OBC category, your chances of getting top government engineering colleges or computer-related branches like CSE are low. But you can still get admission in many private or average colleges, especially in branches like Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Civil, Production or sometimes Artificial Intelligence or Cybersecurity depending on seat availability and vacant seats in later rounds.

Some private colleges in Mumbai, Pune, or other cities of Maharashtra may accept 40 percentile students in OBC category. For example:

You may try Vidyalankar Institute of Technology in Mumbai, DY Patil College of Engineering in Pune, JSPM, Sinhgad College, Bharati Vidyapeeth College, and some colleges in Akola or Ahmednagar. In these colleges, branches like Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or Production may be available. If you are lucky, you might get AI, DS or Cybersecurity in later rounds or spot admission rounds.

Your selection will depend on how many students with higher ranks take admission before you, and what branches are still available in the final CAP rounds. Keep checking regularly.

In Uttar Pradesh, admission to government engineering colleges, including those under AKTU (Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University), is primarily based on the JEE Main score, not the CET (Common Entrance Test).

While some private universities in UP accept CUET (Common University Entrance Test) scores for certain programs, government engineering colleges generally rely on JEE Main.

Thank you!!

Hello Jaishree,
Thank you for sharing your details. Scoring 58.60 percentile in the MHT CET Law exam for the 5-year LLB program, along with your SEBC category status and being a Maharashtra State (MS) student, does improve your chances slightly. However, admission mainly depends on the cutoff for the specific colleges you're targeting. Top law colleges like Government Law College (GLC) Mumbai or ILS Pune generally have higher cutoffs above 85 percentile even for reserved categories.
But don’t worry, some mid-tier and district-level government and aided colleges have lower cutoffs, and with SEBC reservation, you have a chance in the later rounds of CAP.
I suggest you keep a close watch on CAP Round 2 and 3, and also consider institutes like Vidya Prasarak Mandal’s TMC Law College or other colleges under Mumbai University and Nagpur University.
Best of luck !
