Holding the reins as Chancellor, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Institute of Technology (DSIT), by Tiruchirappalli, has the resonance of a myriad of engineering and management courses. Its Admission Procedure is also quite unorthodox and distills through worthy candidates. DSIT tries its best to be fair and competitive in its selection by evaluating many entrance examinations for different programs.
For all the engineering courses, TNEA test scores are a criterion of consideration. This is a state-level entrance exam that is of importance to aspiring engineers to get admission to the B.E. programs of DSIT. DSIT accepts TANCET scores for the MBA program - a state-level test for management aspirants. To be granted admission to the B.Arch program, a candidate must sit the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) and attain a qualifying score as set by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi.
The eligibility criteria are construed on a program basis. For B.E. programs, candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. A minimum of 80 marks out of 200 should be scored for admission in B.Arch. To qualify for an MBA, the candidates are expected to hold a bachelor degree in any field.
Application Process
The application process in DSIT, Tiruchirappalli, is program-dependent:
