The infrastructure of the college is average they provide with with all the necessary facilities like bus services for picking and dropping the students, classrooms with fans, projectors and plug points but no smart board and Ac is provided to us. There is no wifi, gym, hostels in the college.
I did my graduation in Bachelors of Arts with history as major, the quality of teaching is decent with qualified faculties with prior experience towards their respective fields. The syllabus needs some changes which can help students to be job ready.
The college doesn't provide the students with any internships or placements as it has a bachelors college and also no master courses. The main aim of the college is to develop students in their academic profile.
The college doesn't proof to be a value of money, as it doesn't provide us with placement nor make us job ready.
The campus life of the college is average with some services like NSS and NCC with fest being introduce to the students, where students can enhance their skills.
College infrastructure was quite good Gurucharan College, Silchar as we had all laboratories, equipments, mechanical tools, library, but the classroom conditions was not that much great as it was a old building. The greenery around the college was awesome and it got green campus award once I was studying there.
Professors are very well Gurucharan Colleges Silchar Himachal Pradesh qualified and there is a healthy student to teacher ratio so the teachers are readily available for students. There are many guest lectures from alumni and industry experts which add more charm to the academics.
The college Gurucharan College Silchar has a student driven placement committee and they do try hard to get companies onboard but this year's summer internship placement season was not very good with very few brands visiting the campus.
Yes value for money
Gurucharan College Silchar Himachal Pradesh is average campus life is
Overall is good
Gurucharan College, Silchar have good facilities available for study infrastructure is basic but we have library and laboratory and force centres for the students and classes are clean and hygienic we have a canteen too
In Gurucharan College, Silchar I was studying BCOM the teaching quality was good by the well knowledgeable teachers which makes us job ready for future the placement opportunities the curriculum is provided by Assam University
As Gurucharan College, Silchar is a government college which is under Assam University it do not have good placement opportunities directly but they help us to get job outside of the university which is good
Yes I said it is a government college it has very less course for year the total cost was around 15000 only
The campus is in silchar city where which makes easy to go to college everyday for attending lectures and it safe place for student and teachers. Teachers are very supportive too
Overall it is very good college which is under Assam University basically it's a government where education is affordable
The college is very good with all the proper facilities and like I am fully satisfy with the college in all the things that the college providing they also have library send sports centre for the students which is very good in condition classes are very well maintained.
I was studying BA English in gurucharan college to know English better the teachers are very knowledgeable the curriculum is up to date to includes all the recent development which makes us job ready for future
GC college don't provide any placement because it is a college with which provide bachelor courses and which is run by the government so that is no placement sale in placement opportunities for the students but they help us to build successful career.
Government College the fees are very less compared to the private institute. For BA fees was about 10000.
My college has limited place in the campus but it was safe the location was in the city it is good roads for students travel.its safe for students and teachers.
Overall it is a good college which is run by government fees are very less too
The area of the college is very borad there is so many departments along with practical lab, library, auditorium, field, canteen, etc...Also gym is there for both male and female... library is two floored and very big ...we can spent our time with books here Thank you
In my department all of my professors are too good with a kind heart, they are very helpful,They guide us in our every project, seminar, practical ,we don't need extra tuition because we got all the notes from our college
If a student is good enough she or he is able to get a placement from anywhere but if you are from GC College then it's quite easy to get it easily because teachers teaches us so well that we got enough confidence
Yes it is value for money..we don't need extra tuition....,.........we got all the notes from college even the practical theory also.....Also computer classes are there...so it is value for money Go for it ..
It's just awesome...every year we went for a picnic or excursion in local area or out of station along with teachers, freshers and seniors of the department..even every year there is a competition in many fields like hand work, food stall music, games etc
Thank you
This college have almost all the facilities a student need.... If further anything extra needed they update themselves for the students ...so the students don't face any problems ..and the classrooms and laboratories are good and they keep the college clean too
I m studying BSc in mathematics Honours. The quality of teaching is very good. The teachers teach us like we are their sons and daughters and they do their best to help us. If anyone is having doubts they solve their doubts and make sure he/her understands everything
Most of the students get job offers and the packages are quite good . ...The college was always supportive of what we do as they care for us ... . Most students got the opportunities they want . Overall it's good.
My pet course cost around 6000 and it's worth every penny.
The campus life is best. Always get to learn and know new stuffs and the teachers and staffs are also supportinh
For a student who want to study in Barak valley this college is one of the best till date .
Iin the name of infrastructure there is only a huge kathal tree( jackfruit tree) where each and every individual along with the teacher, professors come and bunk, or waste their time.. there is a dirty canteen in this college where we used to get the most waste food
Its not so good in terms of education… every students in this college usually bunk their classes… And the teachers in this college are worst than ever… They don’t know the teaching profession.. how to teach how to make students understand… Its is the college occupied by political parties… here Education is less politics is more… … very bad experience…
The placement you will get , if you studied in this college, you will get the vacant job of Peon, or choukidar in this college..The placement is the thing which if i got even in free , i will resist to take this..
Even it is the government college but it still takes a lot money from us, from the student in name of registration, in name of examination..
Theres no any campus right in this college.. its just the foothpath, occupies by the class bunkers… roaming in these footpaths…
One of the filthiest… Experience i have ever had in this college.. even now i think i wasted my valuable 5 years studying in this college…
Infrastructure wise it's a very old college which was set up in 90s ....the buildings gives you an old look however it the whole area which the university covers is really maintained and there is a playground , there is a library for students where many books of your interest are available
It was overall a good experience ....teachers are really supportive...what ever confusion one has they can definately reach out to teachers......they try to engage each and every student in activities to make their students ready for future Challenges....
Basically it depends on which course you are pursuing.....and I got two placement which is good ......each department tries to make you do internships which is very important for building your cv while one will be going for the placement drive
Yeah it is value for money.....the level of amount which one is paying is definately much lesser than any other colleges.....like we paid 27000 for each year in bba which I guess is ok if we compare with other colleges
There are many events that college conduct....boys and girls get various events to take part in to showcase their talent which is very important nowadays along with the academics. For eg singing , dancing, sports etc .
No.

The placement cell is not that great for all departments. However they try to do their best but depending on the market demand for a particular branch it varies a lot. However the placement cell of some department try to make its learners well versed in future career through different programs
Yes , its has a cost effective fee structure other than some self financed departments that it nurtures.
Good campus life with Greenery all around
Good as compared to other locally available options
Infrastructure is good but certainly not the best. Most of the classrooms have old fans with faculty switches. Library area is large with division of subject. Also, students can get abundant of pyq here. Cafeteria is good, with availability of both packet food as well as cooked snacks.
Teachers are highly qualified and friendly here. However, some departments have a little strict teachers too. Some courses here like BCA BBA does make the students industry ready. Difficult of semester exams fluctuate each year, with unit tests at the beginning followed by practical exams and Final examination.
Placement aspect is one major disadvantage in this college, as there is no such assurance of college placement. The highest package one can expect is 12-18 LPA if they go for higher education, while the lowest package is 2-3lpa while average package one can expect is 5pa if they have basic soft skills required by recruiters. There are no such companies for placements but some students of BCA department got placed in Deloitte pvt Ltd and prestigious company like Wipro this year.
