The college has a spacious campus area compared to other colleges of West Bengal. The college building is good and we have good and well maintained laboratories. The college campus has a departmental store and restaurants too.
The academics of the college is pretty good. The syllabus is pretty outdated as the college follows the standard university syllabus of MAKAUT. Most of the professors PhD scholars and pretty good in their respective fields of teaching. Most are also conducting researches in their subjects. However, some professors though knowledgeable, lack good teaching skills.
The best placement offers are given to CS/IT/ECE students closely followed by FT, BT and chemical students. The core students really don't have the best placement offers. The highest package offered this year was around 10lpa.
The college has very affordable semester fee. It is around 50K per semester. The hostel seat rent is around 12k per semester. so the college does provide good value for money as it provides ample facilities with such a low semester fee compared to other private engineering colleges.
The campus life is really happening. The campus is buzzing with numerous events fit for everyone throughout the year. The annual cultural fest of the college riviera is a must attend event for all as you will be sure to have a lot of fun and get a chance to witness the performances of famous celebrities like Zubin Nautiyal.
Overall, you are sure to have an experience of a lifetime in this college.
The college infrastructure is really good and we have a spacious green campus of around 30 acres. We have all the necessary facilities in our college including sports fields, gyms, restaurants etc. The laboratories are a bit outdated and the hostels need to serve better food.
The academics are pretty average. Some teachers are really good while some are really sub par considering engineering standards. The college follows MAKAUT syllabus which as every one is aware is not very inline with the industry demands.
The core students here really do struggle to get good placements. The CSE, IT and ECE departments fare well though. Also the placements are pretty decent for Biotechnology, Food technology and chemical students. They are offered good jobs with decent packages.
The college provides good value for money. The semester fee is pretty nominal and can be afforded by most students. The hostel fees are also very reasonable. Apart from that, the college has scholarship schemes which are really helpful for the students.
The college offers amazing campus life. There is a healthy relationship between the seniors and juniors. The college is located within close proximity of both railway stand and bus stand and the markets and shopping centers are also pretty close to the college campus.
The college has a lush green and spacious campus of 30 acres. The college building is also nice and the laboratories are well equipped. The hostels need better maintenance and the food to be served has to be more hygienic and better quality.
The academics of the college are pretty good. Some of the teachers are really good at their job and most are accomplished PhD scholars. The syllabus needs to be more up to date with the current industrial demands. However, the quality of teaching is pretty nice.
The college placements are not very good and the placement scenario needs to be improved. Most of the placement offers go to CS or IT students and the core students have a hard time finding decent placement offers.
The college has very affordable semester fee, it is around 40k per semester excluding the hostel fee. And the fee for TFW candidates are even less, around 6K per semester. Hence the college does provide good value for money.
The campus life is the best part about this college. Many events are organised year round to keep every student involved and get a chance to exhibit their talent. The annual techno-management fest and the cultural fest is surely gonna be one of the most enthralling experience of your life.
Overall it is a good college to pursue your B.tech from as you will get ample exposure and chances to polish your skills. The college has a strong alumni network throughout India and even around world. This will provide you with a good network of professionals you can look up to. So, you must definitely go for this college.
The college infrastructure is decent and We have a good working Wi-Fi in college campus but hostels doesn't support Wi-Fi connections. Our college has a separate 3 storey ABHINANDAN library. Some of the departments in my college very well designed. But the hostels and department is very good.
Talking about academics of this college the way of teaching is a bit peculiar because q teacher uses the language of Bengali in spite of just this reason academics is up to the mark and in every department we're having a very well qualified teachers and professor they are very humble and take extra classes for the better study of the students.
B.Tech course in Electronics and communication engineering, almost 95 percent of students got placed through On-campus placement procedure from our college and some of them also gets placed at a certain high package in big companies through pool campus as well as Off-campus placements. According to the college, the highest package offered to the students in the department of electronics and communication engineering is nearly 8-10Lpa
I think the college is value for money because investing investing a little amount of money one can get a good package of placement I think college is providing good facilities in this amount. the hostel and mess fee are not added in the hole fee package but still it is value for money as fooding and lodging is not much in area like haldia.
talking about the campus life of haldia institute of technology the college is having a very wonderful campus life everything in this campus is worthy and theyide internet facilities separately for college campus, girls hostels, boys hostels , college owned Garden Restaurant. I believe the campus life here is very enjoyable and interesting.
I will suggest this college if you are having a rank of around 8000 in wbjee then you can opt good branches in haldia institute of technology because in the end of the day placement of good package overall all his colleges very superb for a good branch including computer science, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, food technology etc
The college infrastructure is pretty good. Our campus area is large but the buildings do lack a little bit in maintenance. The laboratories are well equipped, however some of the equipments are old which need to be updated. The hostel food is okay, not the tastiest but it is hygienic and we have options for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
Some teachers are really good, some not that good. However, most of the professors are phD scholars and working on their researches currently which means that all the faculties are well learned. The college follows the university syllabus of MAKAUT which was recently update. So we follow an updated syllabus.
Our college does not provide good placements and there are several factors contributing to that, the most important being that it is located in Haldia, meaning that not many companies visit it during placement seasons as compared to colleges in cities like Kolkata. The placement in CSE and IT branch is pretty decent but the condition is dire for core branch students. However, this years highest package was offered to a student from core branch which was around 10lpa.
The ROI of this college is pretty good. The semester fee is not really high. It is around 50,000 excluding hostel and mess bill for all students except those studying with TFW quota. For TFW students, the fee is as low as 6500 per semester.
The campus life is really good. Most of the seniors and faculties are really helpful towards the students. The campus is well equipped with all the necessary facilities. We have in-campus cafes, restaurants, Departmental store, medical center, ATM, laundry facility, beauty parlor etc. The railway station, bus stand, city centre mall are all within 10 mins reach of the campus.
My experience with this college has been good. We get ample opportunities to polish and display our talent in all the fields, be it sports, literary activities or cultural activities. We have a pretty happening cultural and tech fest. Also to gain more knowledge about technology related stuff we have many professional societies like IEEE, CSI etc. Clubs like photography club, literary club are present too. It is the oldest private college in Bengal which is a matter of pride for all students.
College is equipped well with every necessities . Gym is open for all and well maintained. The living spaces are very clean dustbins are placed near every dept. Library is accessable to everyone and the ones who enjoys to learn via internet can also come to the technology section where computers can be operated by the person. Labs are well maintained and the lab faculties are highly experienced.
The faculties of every department follow a pattern which results in the better academic progress of the dept. they are working under. There are many faculties who are highly experienced and who keep focus on each and every student of the dept.
Placement is very good over here. There are many companies visiting in the 7th sem . Marketing, IT core every sort of jobs are available. The pokers are also responsible against their tags. The average package nearly turns out 3.6 lacs per annum.
As this is situated in a semi urban site so the cost of living is very cheap over here as compared to bigger state. Plus another point is as this is one of the first private engineering college the per sem fees nearly gets upto 60000/- so which is very low as compared to other private colleges.
Campus is very neat and clean. Students who are willing to learn new stuffs can easily access the fields they like whether it be related to study or to sports. The environment is very silent which turns out to be a plus point for the campus.
The college is one of the underrated colleges now as it has lost its reputation for various reason . But still if giving equal opportunities the college can again gain it's fame and name as it has every potential which is needed to bring up a top rank college.
Yes our college have , all the necessary infrastructure and facilities and equipment. It has a huge library , well maintained laboratories , it has a huge ground in which we play cricket , football . We also have basketball courts . Hostels are well maintained and hygienic and it is WiFi enabled. Classroom is good and well maintained and they have projectors to. Food in mess is also awesome.
All the teachers are good and well qualified. They are very good at teaching and very supportive . They have the art of teaching one requires to teach students. Syllabus is up to date and best possible for present demand of job. The study is completely job oriented.
Placement is average. It has a good placement cell working for students and placement is improving every year. The average placement is 3.5 lakh per annum. And the percentage of students got placed is about 95%.
Good. It worth the money I pay . My course cost is around 52k per semester. And I think college is providing good facilities in this amount.
Amazing , beautiful campus with beautiful people . They are very good , supportive . Their are various fest and program held throughout the semester to entertain students . Also various workshops are conducted . Location is quite safe.
Good.
The college has a sprawling campus of 30 acres. There are separate buildings for the library and sports centre. The library is quite large. the sports centre has separate gym for boys and girls and a yoga centre. There are 4 main hostels for girls and 6 for boys. The food is okay and not the most hygienic but it depends on the hostel too. There are fields and courts for outdoor sports. Classrooms are functional but not very modern. There are adequate labs but some of the equipments are outdated.
The syllabus has been amended as per the AICTE guidelines but there still needs to be major changes in the syllabus as it's not the most efficient. Most students have some problem with the MOOCs courses, but since its introduced by AICTE you can't escape it in other colleges too. We have a mixed group of professors, some are really good and learned PhD scholars while others are below average. Syllabus is never entirely covered by professors and you have to be prepared for a lot of self-teaching.
The college has been struggling to provide good placements to the students for quite some years now, placement percentage is low and the average package is around 3lpa. Highest package this yr was around 10lpa. The placement cell is not very supportive. core students find difficulty in getting placed. However, it depends on the student too, many are placed in or have secured jobs in good companies and are doing just fine.
The college fee structure is like most other colleges of West Bengal. It costs around 52,000 per sem (including hostel lodging, mess bill excluded) for B.Tech courses. Also the college doesn't try to extort money from students by implementing strict fines. The fines are very meager and not often levied. Moreover, toppers get a full fee waiver and there are some other scholarship schemes too. So yes, we do get a good value for our money.
The campus life is pretty happening. Many intra and inter tech, cultural and sports events are conducted round the year and there are many tech and non tech societies which you can join. Most seniors are helpful. some teachers are really motivating and helpful but not all. We have departmental stores, cafes and restaurant, laundry place, medical centre in campus. Ambulance is present 24/7 for emergencies.Campus is well located in close proximity to railway station, bus stand and city centre mall.
The college is the oldest and amongst the best private colleges in West Bengal. How we utilize the time we spend here really depends on the student. We can get a lot of exposure and build a good network around the country as our alumni network is pretty strong, but we need to know how to use this opportunity to our benefit.
This hit college is sprawling over large area of 32 acres and provides all necessary items that are needed for the students. It has great library having peaceful environment to study and all kinds of books are available . It provides gym for both girls and boys, restaurant, departmental store ,laundry, basketball ground , many others sports field .All infrastructures are well maintained by the faculty members. Talking about hostel ,it provides hygienic food and regular cleaning is also provided.
Hit is famous for its education in chemical engineering but all others branch are also well balanced in terms of quality education and updated curriculum. Whatever is taught doesn't make all job ready in all aspects cause u must have a smart personality and well known knowledge in your respective field ,for all these personality development college organises workshops and seminars.
Chemical branch students are well placed .70% students are used to get placement. While placement depends entirely on your capibility and ability . Company not only sees your grades but also your communication skills , problem solving capibility, deep knowledge in specific area.
College have got autonomous status and it takes relavent money from students .
Little things will provide you happiness and you will surely enjoy the college life
There are two NGOs in the college and many other clubs where you can serve and enhance your personality.
The college has decent infrastructure with a.c laboratories, libraries and let me mention Haldia Institute of Technology has the biggest central library of MAKUT. The college has both boys as well as girls hostel with ample capacity and facilities like free wifi indoor game facilities. Apart from it free wifi is also available in the college campus. Now coming to sports Haldia Institute of Technology has enough space, maintained grounds for various sports like cricket, football, basketball e.t.c
Haldia Institute of Technology has qualified and experienced faculties. Many of them hold experience of foreign colleges. The course curriculum has been updated according to the present needs to make us job ready.
The Placement is what I can seriously boast of. As stated HIT has the record of magnificent placement every year. so I believe it's quite a good deal to crack. Companies comes in bulk to hire students and providing great packages.
The fee structure is very reliable. Whatever is given out brings good value in terms of placement and other facilities
The campus is very very huge. HIT hosts many kind of cultural, sports and tech fests throughout the year. Student and teacher both take part enthusiastically make the environment very Joyous
Hello,
The percentile required for admission to Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT) varies depending on the branch you are targeting. Based on previous years' trends:
For CSE, IT, and AI-ML, you typically need 85-90+ percentile.
For ECE, Electrical, and Mechanical, a percentile around 75-85 might be enough.
For Civil, Chemical, and other core branches, admissions are possible with 65-75 percentile.
Hi!
The School of Management and Social Science under the aegis of Haldia Institute of Technology offers a two-year, full-time MBA programme. Students pursuing the MBA programme from this institute get both the placement and internship opportunities.
According to the data released, the institute provided 100% internship opportunity to MBA students from the batch of 2024 and 92% of the batch got placed in various reputed companies in the year 2023. Some of the companies who visited the campus for hiring were Dabur, Axis Bank, Jio, HDFC Life, etc.
HIT is obviously a better college than Narula. HIT itself is a brand in West Bengal in view of its graduated class organization and situation records. Here you will get a decent friend bunch and the existence of complete 4 years, world out of bedlam and harmony wherever where you can investigate the magnificence of grounds, excellence of your inner self, and learn a different part of life.
How about we take you to the placement scenario. The students from CSE, IT, and ECE are put nearly by 75-85%.
So , Choose HIT for B.Tech CSE (main).
Thank You.
