Greetings dear apirant
Firstly, congrats on successful completion of your MET exam. The cut-off trends keeps changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc. With 180/240, its quite possible to get CSE branch in their main campus, i.e. Manipal. The cut-off of CSE branch at Manipal campus was 781 in the year 2020. Just apply to their counselling process and as it is conducted in different rounds, your chances of securing a seat increases.

Hello dear aspirant
Firstly, congrats on successful completion of your MET exam. The cut-off trends keeps changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc. With 160/240, its really hard to get CSE or IT branch in their main campus, i.e. Manipal as there is a huge competition for these seats. The cut-off of CSE branch at Manipal campus was 781 in the year 2020. So, you can try for CSE and IT branches their Jaipur and Sikkim campuses. Just apply to their counselling process and as it is conducted in different rounds, your chances of securing a seat increases.

Hi aspirant,
Manipal group of higher education owns both the colleges and is ranked 39th for engineering by NIRF. Let us compare both of them on the parameters you have mentioned:
College life:
The Manipal campus is spread across huge area of around 300 acres, the infrastructure here is world class with advanced labs, big libraries and hostels are also well maintained. Tech and cultural fests are regular part of curriculum and you can find diversity at its best. The Jaipur campus is comparatively smaller with campus area of 122 acres but is knowned for it's beautiful and regional influenced architecture. The off campus life at Jaipur is marvellous with lots of area to explore. The weather is very pleasant specially winters.
Placements
Manipal campus surely edges in this matter, reputed passouts, old status and quality education have proven benchmark for the placements. It currently has 95 per cent placement records with an average package of 5.5-6 lacs. The Jaipur campus is still growing and has placements around 75 percent with an average of 4.5 lacs.
Hope it helps!!

Hope this was useful.
Should there be any other query, please feel free to ask.
Good Luck!
Hi Zeher,
9550 can be considered a very good rank in VITEEE. You can most probably get CSE, CSE with specializations and all other branches at Vellore campus with the mentioned rank under category 2. You may even get lower branches under category one.
Vellore institute of technology has announced guidelines for refund policy in regards to the VITEEE counselling starting next week. The counselling fee is non refundable, apart from that all the money excluding 1000 as processing charges would be refunded if student takes back admission before session starts. There are provisions for refund even after commencement of classes till 90 days from 4th August but has higher deductions ie 10 per cent if applied under 30days, 50 per cent if applied under 60days and only caution deposit will be refunded if applied after 90 days.
Hope it helps!!
Hi,
From previous year the estimated rank is as follows
160+ 2400
150+ 4400
140+ 7000
Your rank can be between 4500-7000.You can surely get in main campus.
But you are at verge of cutoff of ECE branch as its cutoff rank was around4.5k.
For EE it was around 8.5k. The chances are less for main campus but you can go for others if you wish.

I’m currently pursuing Information Technology at Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), and my experience so far has been decent, though not without its challenges. The infrastructure here is solid—labs, classrooms, and the library are well-maintained, and the Wi-Fi is reliable most of the time. There’s scope for improvement in some of the lab equipment, but overall, it’s above average.
The college infrastructure is impressive, offering a blend of modern facilities and well-maintained amenities. Spacious classrooms equipped with smart boards and high-speed internet create an environment conducive to learning. However, some areas could benefit from better upkeep, especially outdoor seating and parking spaces.
The campus is clean and green, with good Wi-Fi, sports areas, and comfortable hostels. It provides everything students need to study and live well.It could use a little work for getting Ac in workshops.
