It’s a very good college with a lot to explore within campus

    College Infrastructure

It is a very good college with a very good infrastructure. We have a lot of academic blocks and our campus is huge! There’s a lot to explore within the campus itself and how can I forget to mention the student plaza, where all the bonding happens.

    Academics

The faculty is very nice and easygoing. They teach a lot and also take extra classes. The classes are well equipped with ac and projectors. It’s not like they just burden us with assignments and all. Its an equal balance.

    Placements

This year around 160 companies came to our campus for placements. I talked toh a lot of seniors and they also told how good the placements were this year. Also the packages they received were much higher than expected.

    College Infrastructure

The campus is very big. It has all the facilities. It has the best library and four academic blocks. It is full of greenery. The hostels are air conditioned. We have the biggest gym in the country called Marena. Apart from that we have student plaza where we get everything.

    Academics

We have frequent tests. Good online portal to conduct tests frequently. We have some of the best faculty in the department. We have EPAD to write our exams which is super sustainable. The curriculum is well upgraded. We have student projects which include manas, rugved, etc. These student projects make real time machines and robots.

    Placements

I'm still a first year in the college so im not well equipped to give good insights about the placement scenario. But from what i have heard from my seniors the placements are pretty good. Our college's highest package is 54 lakhs.

    Value for Money

No. Honestly he fees is too high and not affortable for a vast majority of the country. We do have good facilities the fees we are paying is being utilized however what they charge does not seem justified in comparison to other engineering colleges.

    Campus Life

Our campus life is the best. Our campus is a prime location it is super close to beaches and waterfalls. Manipal has hired ZOLO Scholar to organise our events around our campus and take care of the hostels. They do an excellent job.

people who want to study in MIT

    College Infrastructure

studying at MIT has been a great experience. It offers world-class infrastructure and excellent facilities. it provides a range of programs. it has a very hygienic mess and it has multiple messes to choose from. we were provided with all time strong wifi connection and the living spaces were clean.

    Academics

I studied electronic engineering at MIT as I had an interest in electrical systems. The teaching quality was good and had experienced faculty and a strong focus on academics. Yes, the curriculum is up to date and made me job-ready.

    Placements

good quality of placements with top companies coming to our college. around 80% of students got placed and the highest salary package was 7 lakh per annum and had gone mostly to electrical engineering only. The college was very supportive too.

    Value for Money

the course had approximately 5-6 lakh per annum and I think it was worth it due to the facilities and the quality education which helped me gain strong placement opportunities after the completion of my degree.

    Campus Life

it had modern infrastructure with good classrooms and hostels making it a great place to live. the worst part was the overcrowding of people in the mess and classrooms. the location is good and safe and the college can handle emergencies.

    Others

overall the college was great and I would recommend everyone to go to that college and build their carrier.

    Faculty is approachable

    College Infrastructure

The lecture halls are equipped with smart boards and high-quality projectors, making presentations and lectures more engaging. The laboratories are well-stocked with the latest equipment, particularly benefiting students in research-based programs. The campus also features several cafes and eateries, providing plenty of options for meals and snacks.

    Academics

Our curriculum is designed to encourage teamwork and peer learning, which is evident in the numerous group projects and presentations assigned throughout the semester. The professors are approachable and often invite students to engage in meaningful discussions during and after class. The college also offers a wide range of electives, allowing students to tailor their education to their interests.

    Placements

My college’s placement services are among its most praised aspects, with a track record of placing students in prestigious companies across various sectors. The placement office works tirelessly to ensure that students are not only prepared for interviews but also have access to a wide array of job opportunities. The college organizes several on-campus recruitment drives each year, and the participation of top-tier companies is a testament to the institution’s reputation.

    College Infrastructure

all infrastructure, facilities are present, all of which are well-maintained, Hygiene is top notch. Libraries are spacious with variety of books present. Laboratories have all necessary equipment present. Food is hygienic.

    Academics

I studied Electronics & Instrumentation. Teaching quality is average. Curriculum was not up to date. Classroom teachings are not enough to be job ready. Rote learning is more emphasized upon, also that fetches you marks, but experiential learning takes a backseat.

    Placements

Placements opportunities are more for the computer and IT branches. For the other branches, some companies visit, but with very less compensation. Highest package that I know of was more than 30 Lakhs. There were various mass recruiters who also visited, who offered around 4.5 Lac package. College was supportive in the placement journey.

    Value for Money

academic fees per year was 5.2 lacs. If you utilize the opportunities presented then the money will be worth it.

    Campus Life

Campus was very big with top-class facilities. Staff is very friendly. Lots of sports activities are there. Location is safe, KMC hospital is near to the campus.

    Others

Overall experience was good. Most importantly, you have to focus on your academics, and take part in all the competitions that are organized.

Amazing college life, diversity among students.

    College Infrastructure

Manipal has College infrastructure which is one of the best I the country. The college is spread in almost 200 acres and the academic buildings , mess buildings are very cool . They even have college autos for students to travel from their hostel to academic blocks .

    Academics

Academics of the college is good . in first year they teach you everything and the basics of it . From 2nd year you have you subjects related to you branch . They make you study subjects of diff branch in first year so that you can have an idea of other branches too which I found pretty interesting. I would say the academics are pretty good .

    Placements

Placement of college is decent . I am in my first year , however one of my senior has got a placement of 30 lakhs and the recruitment process is quite smooth as heard by my seniors. If searched manipal comes in one of the colleges who are known for their good placement.

    Value for Money

To be very honest , I found the college to be on pricy side . However the facilities that they provide is awesome. Marena , the sports complex provides overall personality development . Hostel is also pretty good . I haven’t faced issues with food . College is costly but facilities makes it worth it.

    Campus Life

When I was looking for good colleges and good campus life manipal came on of the best colleges in India. I have experienced one year in manipal main campus now and I can tell you the campus life is all you need. The campus is huge and very beautiful. Everything is close by and there are very less restrictions. They let you enjoy .

A bery good and pleasant experience with a lot of learnings

    College Infrastructure

Quite old campus but the new academic building are built well, and the hostels overall are also quite solid. Nothing to complain about and safety is quite good with proper grounds and facili So quite satisfied with the infrastructure

    Academics

Very exhausting academic pattern and excessive and rigid grading system and a lot of workshops and labs with very strict attendance policies.

    Placements

Alumni network is gold but placements avg only good for computer branches for other branches is satisfactory overall a good placement rate.

    Value for Money

A bit on the higher side and quite expensive town as well

    Campus Life

The best campus life for sure

    College Infrastructure

Perfect infrastructure, well maintained campus, they keep doing renovations and painting around. Every single building including academics and hostels are finely made. Cleanliness of college is done twice daily.

    Academics

Excellent faculties and teaching is wonderful. Knowledgable professors and well behaved staff. All the college notes are made available through microsoft LMS, easy yet effortless work. Library is always reliable.

    Placements

I dont have much idea of placememts but few of my known seniors are placed in amazon, delloit, etc. With 20-40k slary /month. Its not bad but nothing compared to other government colleges. They are doing fine till now and well organized.

    Value for Money

Nevertheless, its Manipal. The fees goes upto 5.5 Lac for many courses and least is 3.5Lac which is pretty not affordable for many. But theres value for money. They offer campus life like no other college in India.

    Campus Life

Perfection is the second name of MIT Manipal. Great campus life and wonderful peer group. Its just too good tobe true. Stating from perm times to the class timing it all always favors the students. Great environment.

Have a question related to MIT Manipal ?

Hi I just wanted to know which college is better for electronics vlsi in terms of placement and electronic, hardware companies visiting SRM kattankalathur or MIT Manipal and banglore

Selecting an institution for Electronics and VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) studies requires careful consideration of several critical factors. It is not solely about surface-level statistics or broad placement claims; rather, the decision should be informed by tangible parameters such as curriculum quality, research opportunities, and industry connections.

To begin with, IIIT Hyderabad stands out as a premier destination for VLSI education. The institute offers a robust, VLSI-centric curriculum and well-equipped laboratories. Graduates frequently secure positions in core semiconductor companies—such as Qualcomm, Intel, and AMD—with median salaries for M.Tech VLSI programs often exceeding Rs15 lakhs per annum.

The Indian Institutes of Technology—specifically in Bombay, Delhi, and Madras—are also excellent choices. These institutions are renowned for their advanced VLSI research facilities and consistently strong placement records, particularly in research and development roles within the core electronics sector.

BITS Pilani should not be overlooked. It maintains strong industry partnerships and provides students with valuable internship experiences. Notable employers include Texas Instruments, Micron, and Nvidia, among others. The alumni network further enhances career prospects.

Among the National Institutes of Technology, Trichy, Warangal, and Surathkal offer impressive placement outcomes, though the number of semiconductor-specific opportunities is somewhat lower than at the IITs or IIIT Hyderabad. Nevertheless, these NITs provide a favorable return on investment and solid training in core electronics.

Private institutions such as VIT Vellore, SRM, and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham are also options worth considering. While a larger proportion of recruiters may be from the IT or software sectors, opportunities in VLSI are steadily increasing, especially for proactive students.

    Key parameters to assess include:

    - Faculty expertise in VLSI and Embedded Systems

    - Placement ratios in core versus IT companies

    - Access to industry-standard CAD tools (such as Cadence and Synopsys)

    - Industry tie-ups for internships and research projects

Before finalizing your choice, it is advisable to consult resources like Careers360’s Placement Reviews and College Predictor tools. These platforms provide detailed student feedback and salary trends, offering a more nuanced view than official statistics alone.

If you wish to receive college suggestions tailored to your entrance exam rank and category, please provide those details. This will allow for more personalized guidance in identifying the most suitable institutions for your goals.

    Dear Narayan,

VIT has good placement record lately, they have strong industry connections and coding culture and Manipal is known for better campus life and student satisfaction, strong alumini network..

So, choose VIT for better CSE exposure and coding culture and choose MIT for quality of life, smaller classes and balanced growth.

    Hope you get!

    best of luck

    thanks.

i have been offered btech in dsai at thapar and btech in cs at mit manipal(main branch)

Thapar University's BTech in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DSAI):

    - Pros:

    - Specialized program in emerging fields

    - Strong industry connections

    - Good placement record

    - Cons:

    - Might be a relatively new program

MIT Manipal's BTech in Computer Science (CS):

    - Pros:

    - Established program with strong reputation

    - Broader scope in computer science

    - Good placement record

    - Cons:

    - Might be a larger batch size

    Consider factors like:

    - Curriculum in the program: Meets what you are interested in pursuing and your career aims?

    - Faculty expertise: Are they experienced in their domains?

    - Are there any chances for students to participate in internships and placements?

    - Campus life: Which campus culture fits you better?
