Hi Raj,
First of all, MSRIT and BMSCE Bangalore are the top engineering colleges in the region with great infrastructure, facilities, campus, faculty etc. It has a good reputation among top companies for placement.
You can proceed to software side, no matter which stream you take, provided you know programming languages like Python, Java, C++ etc, which you can learn easily through online courses or at training centres. Most companies hire non-CSE students if they have good knowledge about programming.
Electronics & Telecommunication engineering is definitely a good course to opt for. MSRIT has also a dedicated 4G/5G IoT centre and collaborations with major telecommunication companies in the industry. Placements are good for telecommunication students too.
Hope it helps. All the best!
Hey there!

As far as your JEE Main Rank, I believe you should consider options at IIIT Bhubaneshwar, IIIT Sri City and IIIT Vadodara in CSE and IT respectively, whichever is near your home state. Placements at all the three IIITs are comparable and are somewhat at par. However IIIT Sri City has an added advantage of being near Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai, the core IT hubs of India.
Although if you have no monetary issues and distance is not a problem, MSRIT CSE seems a more viable and standard option. Bangalore being an IT and Technology hub, will seriously help you in nurturing your ambitions and will provide better career prospects. Secondly Bangalore, will millions of aspirants and students provides a healthy atmosphere for students residing there.

Hello,
Yes go for technical branches like CSE, if you are passionate about technology. CSE has always been strong, which obviously demonstrates the great job opportunities provided by this course. I would definitely suggest you to choose CSE in NITs. Jobs wise CSE is very good for you as it has abundance of jobs. If you are not interested in ECE, then I request you to please don't choose ECE, almost 80% students who took ECE don't stay in their core sector, they either move to Tech core sectors or going with MBA, this can be of any reasons like less opportunities in that sector or something else. Most of the students after completing ece, they join in Software sectors as software developer/ Application developer or etc. In a matter of fact, after ece one will have a great scope by qualifying gate for the entry to PSUs. But CSE had not much opportunities when compared to ECE. You can also observe that cutoff rank for cse will be comparatively less than ECE. So the student who had less rank will get seat in CSE. There are abundant of Job Openings for B. Tech in CSE. Some of best on going domains in CSE are
1. AI , Machine learning
2. Full stack Web Developer
3. Cyber Security /Ethical Hacking /Penetration Testing
4. Block chain
5. Software Development Engineer (SDE)
