My college is one of the top colleges in Bangalore, and its campus reflects that. The classrooms are large, neat, and fitted with smart boards and projectors for better teaching. Labs are well-equipped with the latest machines, software, and tools for practical learning across all streams. The central library is a huge attraction, with thousands of books, journals, and e-resources. There are also digital libraries for quick access to study material. They also encourage participation in projects, hackathons, and paper presentations. Teachers here are approachable and guide students not only in academics but also in placements and higher studies. There is a mentorship system where students can get advice and career guidance.
Placements are best in Bangalore. The placement cell works year-round to bring top companies to campus. Students receive training in aptitude, coding, soft skills, and communication from the third year itself. Recruiters include big names like Infosys, Accenture, TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Cognizant, and Deloitte, along with product-based companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, and Adobe. For CSE and IT students, placement opportunities are excellent, with average packages around ₹6–7 LPA and top packages going above ₹30–40 LPA.
Overall, infrastructure of this college is nice but they need to focus on little bit on labs, They are not fully advanced but above average compared to other colleges in that area. Wi-Fi network is not working properly. We have nice library and good hostel as well. They focus on every field in e-sports. It has nice friendly environment.
Most of the teachers are helpful and have good knowledge of their subjects. The teaching quality is decent. Some are really good, while a few are average. The course curriculum is quite relevant but needs more practical exposure to be fully industry-ready.
Placement of our college is average but only small companies visit here. The average package in our college is 4 LPA - 5 LPA, which is not good for today's time. But many small companies visit here regularly. College conducts mock interviews and other activities for better preparation.
The hostel condition is average with decent rooms. There are single, double, three, and four-seater rooms. Two seater rooms charges are Rs. 91,000 per year. Three seater room charges are Rs. 81,000. Four seater room charges are Rs. 78,000. The hostel has Wi-Fi which has decent internet speed. The hostel has lawns in rooms and CCTV cameras.
Faculty members are good and knowledgeable. They help students every time whenever they need them. They help and guide students. The curriculum activities are organized. Semester exams are average, but it's up to students. Many faculty members help students which is good for them.
Placements are average. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA - 6 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. There is a placements cell for placements. Our college helps students with their career guidance. Around 70% of students get placed in our college, which is decent.
College's facilities and infrastructure are very good. Classrooms and labs are air-conditioned and have proper ventilation. The college has full facilities for computer and other laboratories, and 24/7 Wi-Fi. There is a separate library with books, computers, and 24/7 access. The quality of the facilities is very good, the mess food is decent but very good in comparison to other PGs
College faculty is very good and helpful. All professors are very qualified, with over 25 years of teaching experience. The course curriculum is from RTU Kota. The college also provides industrial training from time to time for hands-on experience.
About 45% of students are placed. The highest package is 11 LPA, the average is around 3.5 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, In Time Tec, Robomq, and Hashedin by Deloitte. About 90% of students got internships at Celebal Technologies and Techforce Academy. The top role offered in my course is Jr. software engineer.
Ramaiah Institute has a modern campus with advanced digital electronics labs, VLSI tools, and well-equipped communication systems labs. The library provides journals, e-resources, and project support, which help students in research and coursework.
For I did Mtech in electronics so the M.Tech in Digital Electronics & Communication is well structured with focus on design, coding, and system-level concepts. Faculty are knowledgeable and guide students in projects, though self-study and extra effort are often needed.
Placements are good but competitive. Core electronics companies come less often compared to IT recruiters. Students aiming for VLSI or embedded roles may need extra internships or skill training outside to secure good opportunities.
Fees are high compared to many institutes, but the reputation and exposure of Ramaiah add value. Students who actively engage in research, projects, and skill-building can benefit more from the degree in the long run.
Campus life is vibrant with cultural events, workshops, and technical fests. Clubs and groups give exposure beyond academics. The environment is supportive, but workload of M.Tech keeps students more study-focused.
Ramaiah Institute of Technology is a reputed choice for M.Tech in Digital Electronics & Communication. It provides strong faculty support and facilities, though placements in core roles require extra effort from students.
I am not a hosteler, I am a day scholar so I don't know about the hostel facilities. In our college, Wi-Fi facility is very much good. We can use 11GB per day free for one year. We have to the chemistry lab, computer-aided engineering drawing lab, and computer lab up to today because we are still in 1st semester. We haven't seen the workshops or aerospace labs, they will show us after the 1st semester. Classrooms and library facilities are very good.
Teachers are very helpful. All are Ph.D. qualified teachers and they have good knowledge and experience. Curriculum is relevant to the students and makes students industry-ready. Exams are not that difficult. If we gain depth and concentrate on the studies, it will be easy. Pass percentage is 40%.
In our college, aerospace engineering opened for the first time in [2024], so our is the first batch. The average package is 6 LPA, and the highest is 18 LPA as our lecturer said. Students are not yet placed and didn't get any internships for this course because I have mentioned earlier that it is the first batch. So, we will get to know how the internships and placements after we go to that place.
There are 4 hostels for boys and 2 for girls. The hostel rent varies from Rs. 1.2-1.6 lakhs and Rs. 70,000-80,000. Facilities are good. Wi-Fi, food, clothes washing, etc, are provided. The demerits are timing curfew, and outside food is not allowed. Other hostel students are also not allowed. Otherwise, the atmosphere of the hostel is really good
The course curriculum at MSRIT provides a solid foundation in engineering basics, though it is somewhat outdated, particularly in fields like AI and robotics. It covers core principles well, but for those seeking advanced knowledge, it is necessary to explore beyond the syllabus. Academics are manageable and suitable for most students, though not exceptional. Faculty members are highly qualified and bring valuable expertise. Their busy schedules limit individual attention.
Placements are really good. The placement percentage is 82% in the year 2023-24, and a total of 1,600 offers are made. The CS and electric-related branches get better packages and 90% of students get placed. If not on campus, the placement faculty members give opportunities off-campus.
Hello Aspirant,
If you are opting for Biotechnology, each university has its own advantages:
With a COMEDK rank of 6949 , you are not likely to get ECE at top colleges like MSRIT, BMSCE, or RVCE , as their ECE cutoffs are usually below 4,000 .
Consider other branches like Mechanical, Civil, or other IT specializations where closing ranks range between 25,000 to 60,000
Explore less competitive engineering colleges in Karnataka that cut off around 50,000 to 100,000 .
hi,
With a rank of 23,000 in COMEDK, getting admission in the Mechanical branch at MSRIT might be difficult because usually the closing rank for Mechanical in this college tends to be much lower. MSRIT is one of the top colleges and seats in popular branches like Mechanical usually fill up quickly. But still, you can try in the later rounds of counselling because sometimes the cutoffs go a bit higher if some students leave or change their options
