To get into CU, Kolkata, to do a B.Sc. in Mathematics , you must qualify for their admission requirements. Admission is usually merit-based based on your Class 12 marks in relevant subjects. Lovely Professional University was established before Chandigarh University. Fee is bit higher in Chandigarh University than in lovely professional university . In my opinion you should go for LPU.

LPU and Chandigarh University are well-known private universities.

Chandigarh University offers a four-year, BA (Hons) Psychology programme at the undergraduate level. Candidates seeking admission to BA (Hons) Psychology programme offered at the Chandigarh University must have passed the Class 12 examination in any stream with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognised Board. It has well organized 600 campus , with  very great infrastructure and latest security of biometrics on gate for security of students .
