Hello

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology admissions are entirely merit-based. No management quota exists.

IIST Dual Degree Admissions:

Course Eligibility & Selection Criteria
B.Tech + M.Tech or MS 10+2 with 75% marks with PCM subjects with 20% average in JEE Main (5% minimum in each PCM subjects) JEE Advanced + Counseling

If you want to take admission into Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology with Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) rank and have OBC (NCL) quota, then according to the cut-off of previous years, the rank that you need in JEE Advanced for the same is as follows:

2020

Aerospace Engineering: 473 (closing)
Electronics and Communication: 571 (closing)

2019

Aerospace Engineering: 308 (closing)
Electronics and Communication: 338 (closing)

Hope I have answered your question. All the best!

Hello aspirant,

For UG courses, candidates must register themselves online, through the IIST website. After the registration process, the institute generates an admission list. The selection for BTech and BTech Dual (BTech+MS/ MTech) programme is done based on candidates' valid scores in JEE Advanced and counseling round.

furthermore, The IIEST Shibpur admission process constitutes of the online application, verification and fee submission and then provisional admission.

The selection process for UG Program in IIEST Shibpur is as Follows :

  • Based on the merit list, the students will get approved.
  • Approved students will have to pay the blocking fees.
  • Send the documents for verification for provisional admission.
  • Join the provisional admission Google meet for document verification.
  • After verification through Google meets, the officials will pass the enrollment certificate.

Hello aspirant,

IIST B.Tech 2022 cutoff will be published on the official website of the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology. The cutoff for IIST B.Tech 2022 will be determined by the minimum scores required for admission.

Because there will be no entrance exam, JEE Advanced results will be used to determine the IIST B.Tech cutoff in 2022. Various aspects such as previous year patterns, number of candidates, seats available, JEE Advanced difficulty, and more will be taken into account by the authorities while establishing the IIST B.Tech 2022 cutoff.

Hello Aspirant,

No but your jee advance marks are the only one which are considered ,but to appear in jee advance you need to clear JEE main and for validation of jee main you need to get 75 percentage in your respective board .

so in short you need to need to get above 75 percentage after that it's good, no matter if you score 90%or not.

However, in 12th you should have 75% aggregate marks (Gen category) and 65% marks for reserved category

Hope this helps you .

All the best for your future.

The chances are really less because they require much Higher rank to get in such esteemed colleges.Try for some other colleges ....

All the best!

See IIST is the only institute in India which have professors who are working professionals at ISRO and are in close quarters with the research of ISRO. You may not be wiling to go for the ISRO but getting your subject education from the professionals who themselves are not only involved with teaching but also in real life Aerospace Engineering research will be a great thing in your professional career. You will get the notion of the real life working and active research going in the field. So if you get a chance to study at IIST, then don't loose it even if you don't want to go for ISRO.
