It's classes scheduled pattern is so good 9ne of the top open universities in the country in the 2023 edition of the national institutional framework it gives online gives student an opportunity to chose from various schools
Good faculty and study material but bad placement there is no campus placement available students need to proactively seek intership and part. Time jobs to gain practical experience and make professional connections.
Yes, IGNOU students get placement. However, the percentage of students getting direct placements through IGNOU campus placement cell is less. Importantly, IGNOU has a strong alumni network and through gaining add-on skills, students get jobs through off-campus drives.
It over All Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), located in New Delhi, offers commendable value for money through its flexible and affordable education programs. experience are good
It is an open university so it runs with the network of regional centres and study centres under it. The study centre alloted to me was having decent basic facilities, with appropriate spacious clean classrooms, big extensive library, labs and a good canteen. My time it hadn't been equipped with wifi or smart boards. Today this dearth is also been fulfilled. Now it has quite every basic facility.
IGNOU has the best educational standards. It provide significant quality education to every student want to study even from remote setting in the country. It has a well formulated and structured syllabus or curriculum designed effectively on the basis of desired educational outcomes and competitive challenges.
Though the IGNOU claim to have a dedicated placement cell but I was never approached for any placement drive being conducted to engage with the employment opportunities and recruitment options. I think this is the only thing in which IGNOU lags behind other institutions. It should also strive to provide placement possibilities to the enrolled students
The value of money is decently being provided as the fee charged for every course is nearly nominal which exhibits the quality education at cheaper rates ensuring to reach to every student regardless of his economic or social status. He or she can study the best syllabus and obtain a degree even residing remotely and coordinating with the challenges if any. Basically you get the worth of enrolling in this institution. You can study side by side even if you work in the day hours.
Ignou has minimal or no engagement with other students of the university as it is an open distance learning platform. Interaction with teachers can be easily done by visiting your study centre. Even for some courses which need physical practical learning we have to attend classes in person. Support staff is also responsive. But the student's visit to the study centre is not frequent so the need to have a good campus life is not mandatory.
I loved to read great books which they provided to me under my course helped me getting a good knowledge of rural development.
College was good in infrastructure. It was open university so doesn't need much infrastructure. It was clean. All the facilities are provided. There was a library of around 1400 books. It was spacious and clean.
Teachers were well educated. They were PHD in their subjects. Practical knowledge was given of every subject using live examples and live projects. They were a bit less cooperative. It was a mixture of both good and bad.
There was no placements given by college. There were no placement committee in college. Average package was 1.5 lakh Per annum and median package was 1.5 lakh. Highest package was 3 lakh. There were very less opportunity for placements.
As I am in open school so college infrastructure is doesn't matter for us but I visited the main campus at Delhi I found it was good more then our expectations the collage has very green campus and very clean campus.
AS the open University the University offer many certificates and degree course with high valueable content the books they provide is quite awesome with Genuine content easy to understand and use easy and simple words.
The placement in IGNOU is not good because as a open University they can only offer degree course so the placement cell not seems to intrested for placing their students but as the content they provide candidate can easily placed in any firms.
As Indira Gandhi National open University is a college that provides distance education it's headquarter is in Delhi but people can enroll in there nearest study centre/ colleges, so the study centre I'm in is a very nice College where the infrastructure is very suitable for the students containing labs, sports ground, library etc.
I am Pursuing Masters of commerce in IGNOU, because the university has been granted A++ certificate by NAAC, and it is easily accessible to every student. The teaching quality is very good , and the college do provide study materials too.
IGNOU have a placement cell where a variety numbers of companies come to hire students, the companies are reputed organisation in the industry like LIC, ICICI bank, Bajaj Finance etc, they do provide career counseling too.
The Course fee for the total Mcom program is 20,000rs for 2 years which includes the study material costs too, I feel the money is worth as compared to the services that are being provided, it's totally worth it.
As it is a distance learning institution there is no campus life for students enrolled in it, as they have to come to the campus only only Sunday's and during the exams and lab practical duration. Campus structure varies from study centre to study centre.
The university is divided into an extensive network of regional centres and further concerned study centres across the country. The study centre which I had allotted was my town's government college & it has all those basic infrastructural facilities which any student needs like smartboards in spacious & hygienic classrooms, campus wifi facility, decent library, well-built & equipped playground & science labs. Overall the infrastructure is quite fulfilling.
IGNOU has the best academic offerings and environment. The framework of curriculum and the way it is being designed and presented is amazing. It has the best quality of syllabus and books which any student deserves and aspires for. Content of books is very extensive and relevant in gaining competitive expertise. So academically this university inculcate the student with learning and intellectual capabilities and help excelling in the concerned field. I personally refer to the books very much especially for my competitive exams.
Though the university has a campus placement cell but the claims of it helping in gaining the placement opportunities is untrue for me atleast in my case. I have never been approached for any placement drive conducted by the university. There are no options being provided for obtaining any employment recruitment.
IGNOU is best in offering quality education at nominal expenses. For my course I paid an estimated total of just ten thousand for the whole course of three years including examination fee which happens only once in a year. So the expenditure on the education is worth it.
As it is an open university so the campus interaction is nominal and almost negligible. Usually the students study by themselves without any classroom learning. Though the study centres do provide needful classes of some courses. So if any course which demands teaching facilities, the university fulfills it for the students.
I think my purpose was solved by enrolling in this University. I was a working individual and I wanted my education to not get hamper with my working schedule. So this university provided me the chance to continue my education with the liberty to work as well.
I would ignou 4 stars out of 5 for their infrastructure i have completed my one year in ignou and I think all the buildings are decently maintained and there are different blocks for every stream, they even have a playground area, they do provide library facilities but books are not available
I am studying Mca from there, we had some online classes for few weeks which was okay okay but now we dont have any online classes, they don't even call us for labs. Stars i have given is for curriculum as it is latest and updated according to the trends in the market.
If you are thinking at placement from ignou ,you might be at wrong place. TThy do call some companies to hire you but u will get average salary. They focus on mass hiring . Less students are hired and students have to look for job on their own
I do think it is value for money . One semester fee for Mca is around 11,000 and then around 1500 we have to pay for exam fees . So the facilities they are providing in this range is pretty nice. But they should send the books on time otherwise they are of no use
Campus life is pretty decent they have big classrooms and even the students are very friendly . We can hangout in the playground or have some food in the canteen. Even though we dont have classes but teachers are of good nature
Ignou is an open University which provides distance learning so it allocates colleges or you can choose by your own choice and the colleges under IGNOU are really well maintained. Mostly they are government colleges so they have all necessary facilities and equipment but IGNOU provides all the material online. They have their own app too. You can do everything virtually. I chose maharaja agrasen college, delhi for my course and it is delhi University's college and it is well maintained too. It has a huge library with all the basic academic resources. And they have all kind if staffs to make the campus clean.
I am studying MCA_NEW from ignou and it provides me all the books, previous year paper online and we can download it anytime from the website. As in my course we don't go college on Saturday and Sundays but teachers are supportive, they clearify all the queries over the phone.
I don't think that they provide any big placement offers but they have their own placement cell where we can apply and hunt for jobs. Students cracked jobs by their own only. As it is distance learning so it doesn't focus on any placements.
I am paying 10-12 thousand rupees per semester for my course but it varies with every courses they provide. I think it's cheap and material and standard of paper is above average ao i would say it is value-for-money. It also provides practical knowledge too. Money would not wasted if we go there for distance learning courses.
As i said, i opt for maharaja agrasen college which is also affiliated to delhi University. But as an IGNOU student they ask us to come on Saturday or sundays only and their is no such activities providing by them, they do workshops online very often but not physical engagement. Teachers are very supportive and their management is helpful too, they resolve our queries over an mail too.
I think, if anyone is going for a open distance learning and they want to do from government affiliated University then IGNOU might be the good choice.
The college campus is pretty good. They have all the basic requirements like proper washrooms, assembly halls, playgrounds, classrooms, WiFi is also available throughout the campus. All the buildings are also well maintained from time to time.
I am currently studying BBA from here because its one of the well known universities in Delhi. The quality of teaching is pretty decent. The curriculum is up to date and includes all recent developments.
Placements are good if you have a good performance you will surely get a good placement. Approx 85% students get placed. The highest package that I know of was around 13Lpa with is good. The average salary is around 6 7 Lacks per annum.
campus buzzes with energy. From the lively student union to the bustling cafeteria, there's always something happening. . I've made amazing friends through clubs and events, and it feels like there's a community for everyone.
The experience was very good ,all things were well organized,Well maintained Building with all basic amenities and Good size classroom with good atmosphere for studying ,well maintained washroom. All though it's good
Various course are available at college.I have choosen MASTER IN POLITICAL SCIENCE AS MY Subject and quality of teaching is quite good in IGNOU, The syllabus is well updated as per other universities.
Placement opportunities are good in college .Most of the students are from working sector only and they choose this option because they can study without affecting working life and it helps in career upgrade most people get good position in various companies
Unfortunately, with a B.A. percentage of 41%, you are not eligible to pursue an M.Com from IGNOU. The minimum eligibility criteria for IGNOU's M.Com program is a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for reserved category candidates). However, there might be other universities or institutions that have different eligibility criteria. You can explore those options if you are determined to pursue an M.Com.
