Hi there!
NIT Agartala is an old and established institute while NIT Manipur and Meghalaya are new not even a decade old, which means they have issues like campus, infrastructure, alumni, active clubs etc. No doubt, they are promising but NIT Agartala is certainly a better choice but branch also matters.
NIT Agartala and NIT Silchar being older NITs definitely have better placements and infrastructure than NIT Meghalaya and other north east NITs.
In 2019, more than 300+ students were placed out of a pool of over 450 Bachelors and Masters students, registered for Placements. The average salary was 5 LPA whereas the highest package was 36 LPA, which itself was a record among other North East NITs including NIT Silchar.
One cannot deny the fact that locational disadvatage does have a negative impact on the outlook and placements yet, companies like Tata Motors, Vedanta, Tech Mahindra, Axis Bank and Amazon have been regular recruiters. Computer Science followed by Mechanical Engineering are the 2 most preffered branches by recruiters at NIT Agartala.

Hi student ,
In today's date most of the college's and university try to provide overall facilities for the good reputation hence gym has become very common in infrastructure and extracurricular activities . And it's NIT then it's quite common to have gym in NIT agartala and NIT harimpur both colleges have separate gym for girls and boys . But don't expect too much cause it's a college gym not a personal gym made for business purposes .
Hope it will help you !!!!
Hello,
This year there is no minimum 75% aggerate criteria for admissions. So if you have got the cut off then you will be eligible to get seat in NITs. Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has decided to relax the eligibility criterion for admissions to NITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs). JEE Main 2020 qualified candidates will now only need to obtain a passing certificate in Class XII examination irrespective of the marks obtained.
Hello Prathyush!
If your percentile 92.7, then your rank will be somewhere around 65k-60k.
Over the years the cutoff for NIT Agartala in Electronics and Communications branch for OBC category is around 5k-6k and for electrical engineering about 6k-7.5k. So I do't think you will able to get a seat in NIT Agartala.
You can use the college predictor tool to have a better idea:

Hello Aspirant,
You have given these 3 options, so it might be the colleges that you would get it seems.
These colleges, i.e. NIT Bhopal, NIT Agartala and NIT Jalandhar. All the 3 NITs are good enough in terms of quality education and moderate placements.
But, at last, you have to decide which one is better for you amongst the three !
You may choose either by means of location , that is, which NIT would you choose, the one that is nearer or the o e which is furthest. Many students leave those NITs which are far away from their home towns.
And the second one being the branch that you want to get into ! That is, which branch would you choose depending upon your interest or want for studying as career guider. I mean metallurgy, or electronic and instrumentation, etc.
So, you would majorly choose between location or branch that you purposely want. Also, see the more information about the college and it's branch on their official website for more details.
Hope that helps. Good luck
The college has separate buildings for all the departments. College has updated and separate labs. It's has huge campus. The campus has sports Complex, playground, many canteens, faculty quaters, and guesthouses within the campus.
NIT Agartala boasts a well-maintained and modern infrastructure that complements its academic environment. The campus is spread over a vast area with well-equipped academic buildings, laboratories, and workshops that cater to various disciplines. The library is spacious, providing access to a wide range of books and e-resources. Hostel facilities are comfortable, with good amenities for students, and the campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Sports complexes, auditoriums, and recreational spaces add to the holistic development of students. Overall, NIT Agartala’s infrastructure is quite decent, supporting both academic and extracurricular pursuits effectively.
The campus is equipped with all the necessary infrastructure required. Everything is present inside the campus, e.g., a market, restaurant, shops, etc. All hostels have Wi-Fi (but it has data limitations). There is no problem of water scarcity. Canteens are good in number, as mess food is very poor and gets boring in a month. For sports, there are plenty of grounds for every game. Medical facilities are also available inside the campus but can only provide treatment for minor diseases.
