NIT nagaland is not among the best NITs but being a new college there are a lot of chances of improvement for it. Being in a remote location is a disadvantage for it and due to this it is developing slowly. Therefore if you are interested in electronics and instruments and want to go for NIT nagaland but presently the placements there are not lucrative. However, they might get better in future. Average package at NIT-M is around 4.5 to 5.5 lacs per annum. 

At NIT-Mizoram, it rises upto above 5.5 lacs per annum.

Whereas in NIT-N, it is around 4.1 lacs.

With this rank it will be difficult for you to get admission in any of the NITs even if you are able to get admission in any of the NITs even then it will be difficult for you to get a good branch. Although you can try for NIT Uttarakhand as there you might have a better chance of getting a seat as you belong to Uttarakhand. Hope this helps.

Still its' a growing college, still a long way to go. For the name of facilities it has all the basic amenities. A serene morning along the side of hills is the best thing. 

NIT Nagaland is rich in placements. The primary recruiters are Emphasis, Wipro, Capgemini and few more. Around 70% of the students get placed every year. The highest package was 8.9 LPA so far, continuing. The college will not provide any internships to students. There is placement cell at NIT Nagaland which is very useful. It is definitely a good choice if you want to pursue mechanical engineering.

After being alloted a seat in the first round of JOSAA counselling you can go to any of the listed document verification centres on the official JOSAA website as per your convenience. You can go to any of these centres for document verification, however, after the completion of the counselling process you will have to go to your alloted college for further process.
