Actually both the collages are good.In the placements point of view both the collages are same but kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology is good because Almost 140+ companies have visited this campus in 2017-2018 for placements.

Hello aspirant,
firstly i would like to congratulate you on getting such a good rank in MET examination.
So in my opinion you can only get your desired branch and college if you belong to any reserved category but otherwise it might be difficult to get admission for a general category student with this rank. but you can also go for other private colleges affilated to MIT also the choice of college depends on various factors like cutoffs of colleges, seats available, stream selection .you can check all the colleges available in your location on the careers 360 web page and can also compare various colleges on different parameters.
Happy learning.
Hello Aspirant,
As we know that MET (Manipal Entrace Test) 2020 cut-off is not released yet so I am guiding you on the basis of previous year's cut-off. So, according to previous year's cut-off you can go for following branches :-
Note that the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors so it is little bit difficult to predict exact cut-off for this year.
For more details refer to the link given below :-

I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!!
Dear Aspirant,
Placement in the Manipal Institute of Technology are not good, especially if you are from non-CS branch. However, for the CS students, there are some good offers. So if you are not interested in computer science, then you might not get the value you are hoping for.
Thank you.
MET examination is usually held in the month of April every year, this year it was conducted from August 1-12 due to the covid-19 situation. It's a 2 hours 30 mins duration examination of 800 marks with 50 questions from physics and chemistry each and 70 from maths and 30 from English and general aptitude.
Kindly refer to the site below to know more about the exam pattern -

Hi
No needof paying money for second round a fees of 10,000 is collected as waitlist /deposit amount at the beginning itself.
Hey Cya
The cutoff for courses like CSE or IT is usually below 5000 but for courses like Electrical and Electronics (EE), Aeronautical (AE) ,Electronics and Instrumentation (EI) ,Automobile (AU) ,Mechanical (ME) and Mechatronics (MT) the cutoff rank or the closing rank is above 10000. The cutoff also depend on the campus location and the category. To see the full lidt please click on https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/met-cutoff . All the best!
Hello,
If you have scored a decent rank then it will be a disadvantage for you if you participate from round 2 of counselling. In first round most of the seats will be allotted, if you participate from round 2 then you have compete for vacant seats. The number of seats in round 2 will be less compared to round 2 so you might loose a chance to acquire seat in first round it self. The pros are you will get more time to get your marksheets or any other documents such as category certificate which you may not have at present, you will get time to arrange financial resources. Consequences are that you may loose your chance to get seat in first round itself if you have a decent rank, number of seats will be less and such other cons.
I’m currently pursuing Information Technology at Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), and my experience so far has been decent, though not without its challenges. The infrastructure here is solid—labs, classrooms, and the library are well-maintained, and the Wi-Fi is reliable most of the time. There’s scope for improvement in some of the lab equipment, but overall, it’s above average.
The college infrastructure is impressive, offering a blend of modern facilities and well-maintained amenities. Spacious classrooms equipped with smart boards and high-speed internet create an environment conducive to learning. However, some areas could benefit from better upkeep, especially outdoor seating and parking spaces.
The campus is clean and green, with good Wi-Fi, sports areas, and comfortable hostels. It provides everything students need to study and live well.It could use a little work for getting Ac in workshops.
