Hello,
Counselling is process through which you will be able to get a seat based on your merit and preferences. Counselling is conducted in different phases or levels. It is not possible to fill all seats are filled in 1st round of counselling that's why there are consecutive rounds. Not every candidate who participated in counselling will get seat in the very first round, the seats which are vacant after 1st round are filled in 2nd round. Likewise candidates who couldn't get seat in round can get seat in other rounds. If candidates aren't satisfied with the seat allotted they can participate in next phase and may get seat in the desired branch if there are seats available.
Hello..
Manipal is good while compare to kJ somaiya college.. Manipal provides a good experience while compare to other and you gain more knowledge skills..
Cut off means that you have passed the exam. If you score more than the cutoff then you are passed. But it doesnt mean that you will get the seat because due to high competition and limited number of seats, only some students get the seat. Just try your best and apply for the counseling.
All the Best!!!
Hello student. Every year cut off is dependent on various factors such as number of students applied for the university, number of people attended for councelling so on and so forth. But 35k is last year cut off and you got 28 k. So there are pretty high chances that you might get into manipal university. Branch might be uncertain, but there is a higher propbability that you will be getting into university
Yearly intake of a College has nothing to with the cut off rank of an Institute. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top exam score and difficulty of the exam. While the yearly intake is decided by the Authorities concerned. Now MIT has its own entrance examination for admission to its B.Tech programmes. Many Candidates might appear for the exam but not everybody qualifies. And not everyone who qualifies applies for Counselling or accept admission in the College. So taking your own example of MIT, lets say 45000 Candidates appeared for MET. Now MET also is an entrance examination for other courses like B.Pharmacy. So assuming 45000 Candidates appeared for MET. And when the merit list is released all the 45000 ranks will be listed along with the marks score in MET. Now not everyone listed in the merit list will opt for B.Tech. They might consider B.Pharmacy or Pharma D. So assuming half the Candidates did not qualify and few opted for Pharma D and B.Pharmacy, the last ranked Candidate who opted for MIT might be 30,000. Out of the first 29,000 Candidates, even if few choose to opt out and few select other branches and few opt for Pharma, the last rank to get admission in the 3000th seat can be 30,000. It can happen.
Hello Aspirant,
The terms which you discussed in your query are tow different terms so let me make you clear about both the terms. Yearly Intake of any Institute means that particular Institute will take this much students in a year but the cut-off rank is that rank upto which admission are taken.
So if we talk about Manipal Institute of Technology, you are write that it has yearly intake of only 3K and the cut-off rank goes upto 30,000.
I hope this information cleared your doubts.
Good Luck!!
Hi ajai,
I am here to help you.You have heard right that the cutoff goes upto 35k.As all the students did not get Manipal so around 50% seats are free.In a whole 3k students get selected. And be happy you will be getting a seat in manipal easily.Wish you all the best!!!
Hello Aspirant,
The Manipal Entrance Test (MET) Rank List which was released today by The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) contains the rank of the student in the order of merit. This rank list was prepared on the basis of the marks obtained by the students in MET 2020 which was conducted and 12th Class Examination.
So to answer your question, No. The rank list will not revised again based on your 12th Class marks as this rank list has already taken it into consideration.
Hope this helps, All the best!
Hello,
Last year All India cut off rank for CSE was as follows
ECE
Considering this you may get seat in Jaipur campus in CSE and ECE. But cut off may increase or decrease in 2020 depending on difficulty of exam, number of candidates appeared and number of seats available.
I’m currently pursuing Information Technology at Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), and my experience so far has been decent, though not without its challenges. The infrastructure here is solid—labs, classrooms, and the library are well-maintained, and the Wi-Fi is reliable most of the time. There’s scope for improvement in some of the lab equipment, but overall, it’s above average.
The college infrastructure is impressive, offering a blend of modern facilities and well-maintained amenities. Spacious classrooms equipped with smart boards and high-speed internet create an environment conducive to learning. However, some areas could benefit from better upkeep, especially outdoor seating and parking spaces.
The campus is clean and green, with good Wi-Fi, sports areas, and comfortable hostels. It provides everything students need to study and live well.It could use a little work for getting Ac in workshops.
