Infosys, Wipro, TCS, IBM etc.

Student in branches like chemical engineering the interviewer calls the students for the interaction process.

The highest package would be of 10 lakh .

So in CSE  branches  you will get placement from technology companies like Wipro , IBM  etc companies that are related to software .

Whereas ECE is related to technical experts

you will get interviews from comanies that require technicians like mobile communication , telecommunications etc.

As per the rank that you had mentioned and taking your category into consideration, the chances of getting Chemical engineering at Andhra university university are little as the previous year cutoff is observed at a rank 7000 for Bc d girls. You can expect a seat in the branches like Metallurgical engineering,chemical petroleum engineering,bio technology ,Nam etc.

However it will be better to keep chemical engineering too while choice filling as the cutoffs vary from year to year.

Ranking of candidates are based on the total marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. If you met the minimum eligibility criteria then you are eligible for applying to the institute. No Andhra University, Visakhapatnam does not provide Information Technology course in B.E/B.Tech but the colleges affiliated to Andhra University, Visakhapatnam that are Sagi Ramakrishnam Raju Engineering College, Bhimavaram and Anil Neerukonda Institute of Technology and Sciences, Visakhapatnam provide B.Tech in Information Technology course that is  approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

14289 rank is quite a good rank to get a seat in good college. Now going by last year's cutoffs, you have good chances of getting B.Tech Ceramic Technology, Biotechnology, Geoinformatics, Metallurgical, Naval Architecture and Marine engineering in Andhra University College of Engineering, Information Technology in Velagapudi Ramakrishna Siddhartha Engineering College, Electrical and Electronics Engineering in G Pulla Reddy Engineering college etc and many more colleges based on your rank. On the basis of your rank obtained there seems chances of yours to get a seat at JNTU but not in AU .The rank you obtained does not comes under the closing rank required to get a seat in AU when compared with previous year closing rank.So there seems less possibilities of yours to get a seat in AU as your rank is not under the closing rank.But there are possibilities of yours to get EEE/Mechanical branch at JNTU as your rank comes under their closing rank.
